Why does Congress not have their skin in the game but can pay around with 44 million lives? There is an easy resolution to this shutdown. The Dems want benefits for illegals and are will to shutdown the US citizens to do so. It is not right to starve anyone, legal or illegal. The problem is that SS will give benefits to illegals that get paid off the books and there is no way to know if they truly need food or are just swindling the system.

The core of the problem is what I have always said from day 1, and that is, we were financially attacked. After 911 the first causality of the war was our jobs. Mid wage factory jobs went over seas, our top paying tech jobs went to India and then they brought in millions of H1bs, and then flooded us with illegal border crossers taking our low wage jobs. In addition, all these job sites are fake and just give you the runaround, which is also controlled by India. We never addressed, let alone fixed the recruiting and jobs reporting issue. Jobs reporting should be mandatory with stiff penalties for lying and subverting payroll. We have no way of tracking this and we need a system that can ease deportation without starving illegals because that would lead to extreme violence. Starve any man for a day, he will lie, two days, he will steal, and three days he will kill. This is not a game. Both sides need to be reasonable about this truth.
