HAYS COUNTY, Texas — A former Hays County Independent School District teacher, Andrew Palmore, 53, has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for continuous sexual abuse of children.

The Hays County jury delivered the verdict on Thursday, Oct. 16, following a trial that revealed Palmore's decades-long abuse of multiple children.

The investigation, initiated by the Kyle Police Department in February 2022, uncovered Palmore's admission to sexually abusing three children and linked him to previous investigations by the San Marcos Police Department.

Evidence presented during the trial included testimonies from six children and two adult women, all victims of Palmore's abuse during his tenure at Casey Elementary School in Austin, Texas, and Blanco Vista Elementary School.
