Paedophile-promoting tape broadcast on Australia's ABC in 1975 resurfaces
In 1975, Australia's public broadcaster 'the ABC' ran a radio interview with a panel of paedophiles which essentially promoted paedophilia. The host, Richard Neville, himself admitted to sleeping with a 14yo girl while in his 20s. Other admissions of pedophilia included in the show talked of the SA of a 3yo boy. The show also includes a distinction between “paedophiles” and “pederasts”, implying the latter are less harmful which is, of course, bullshit.
Perhaps the bigger story is that in 2018 the ABC's managing director David Anderson denied the ABC had any record of the interview which, because it included admissions of paedophila, should have been reported to the police at the time.
In recent weeks, however, current managing director of the ABC, Hugh Marks, has written to the chair of the Senate Environment and Communications Committee, and requested to correct the record. In the letter dated 30 September, Marks said Anderson’s 2018 response was “incorrect”.
The issue has reared its head again in recent weeks, culminating in activist John Adams releasing the original audio on X.
