Just my opinion

The war is not about left vs. right, Republican vs. Democrat, liberal vs. conservative, red vs. blue. It is about whether or not the ends justify the means.

Let that sink in a bit. There exists on both sides of the political debate those who believe that their ends justify any action they take. On the right they are currently known as neocons. On the left they are currently called progressives. It is worth remembering that "progressive" as a political designation was originally used by the political right, i.e. Theodore Roosevelt's progressive party. As they have done before they will attempt to hide by changing they label by which they refer to themselves.

Whichever side they claim to be on the reality is the same. They will do or say anything they think will further their objective. What is their objective? In a word: POWER. They care nothing for the country, the people, or even the ideology they espouse. Power is their one and only goal. Whether it be Lindsey Graham, Nancy Pelosi, Mitt Romney, Chuck Schumer, or any others you wish to list, all they are after is power. At this time it is the progressive side which is most exposed. Those on the side of the political spectrum which I find correct are just as pernicious. They do not only reside in the political sphere but elsewhere as well: Bill Gates, Elon Musk to name just two.

As I see it the task is not to call out Democrats and praise Republicans. The task is to call out those who seek power for it's own sake, where ever they are to be found. Those who believe that their ends justify their means,.

Fetterman deserves praise not for the political views he holds, with which I largely disagree, but for refusing to lie and cheat to further his own power, for admitting that his side is infected with this pathology. Trump showed the same willingness, it is why I voted for him. I intend to praise such people regardless of what political beliefs they hold. To the extent individuals I have praised adopt the pernicious philosophy I will call them out as well.
