It has been a slow-motion erosion of the Bill of Rights over many many decades. The VAST majority of active age LEOs, 20-50 years old, grew up in schools and media LYING to them about the Bill of Rights. They enmasse do not know what they swore an Oath to, and most NEVER READ it in the first place. More importantly, they have been denied exposure to the import civic reasons upon which DEPEND the Bill of Rights.
