Putin-Trump summit ‘not completely off the table’ – White House
The US president recently postponed a planned meeting with his Russian counterpart
“A meeting between these two leaders is not completely off the table. I think the president and the entire administration hopes that one day that can happen again,” she replied.
Trump “has not seen enough interest in enough action” from Russia to move towards a peace settlement, she said. Moscow has maintained that it remains “fully committed” to a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine conflict, provided its “root causes” are addressed.
Leavitt also addressed sanctions on Russia unveiled by the US Treasury Department on Wednesday.
The president has always maintained that he would implement sanctions on Russia when he felt it was appropriate and necessary… and yesterday was that day,” she said.
Putin, speaking to the press on Thursday, noted that the “unfriendly move” causes “harm” to Russian-US relations, which he said “have just begun to recover.” Despite this, the sanctions would not significantly impact the Russian economy, he added.

A wave of similar AI-generated avatar videos is spreading online claiming a “migrant invasion” and that a “civil riot” is coming from “hard-working Australians.
She looks every bit the city professional – sharp blazer, confident tone, polished backdrop.
But the woman issuing a rallying cry for this weekend’s anti-immigration marches and the end to Australia’s “invasion” hasn’t just stepped out of a CBD boardroom.
She’s a digital creation conjured by a few words fed into an artificial intelligence video generator.
An AAP FactCheck investigation reveals a wave of similar AI-generated avatar videos spreading online, pushing claims of a “migrant invasion” and election rigging, sometimes with violent overtones.
In one video, a gun-toting man stands before a cheering crowd, warning that a “civil riot” is coming from “hard-working Australians”.
AAP FactCheck analysed content from two main accounts: LoveMyAu primarily features young, professional-looking female AI avatars across TikTok, X and Facebook; while SaltyHypsi showcases young Anglo-Australian men, often dressed in military gear on TikTok.
Many of the LoveMyAu videos promote anti-immigration March for Australia events, the latest of which was on Sunday.
“We must resist or we cease to exist,” a blue-suited woman says as she looks into the camera in one video.
“Invasions have never been welcomed,” declares another.
“Invaders do not get to walk in and take countries unopposed.”
Another video, which has attracted more than 70,000 views, shows a series of smartly dressed women strolling along a boardwalk, delivering lines reminiscent of a political broadcast.
“I believe the government has used mass immigration to manipulate election results,” one says.

OPERATION FIRESIGN
For almost two decades the Department of Defense and NASA have coordinated on a black book project under the codename FIRESIGN. FIRESIGN’s aim is to create a religious “awe effect” in enemy populations to create an instantaneous psychological soft-kill (abject submission). The operation uses high powered lasers to project real-seeming images on the sodium layer 100km above the surface. These images can cover hundreds or even thousands of square miles and can appear completely real, three dimensional, and can move.
These visual cues are augmented with pulsed ELF electromagnetic emissions (see: PROJECT SANGUINE) that attack the specific areas of the prefrontal cortex that are stimulated during religious experience. AFTERMATH The aftermath of FIRESIGN will be the psychological subjugation of areas where uprisings are most likely to occur. The induced trauma of FIRESIGN will provide ample cover to government and NGOs who will be “providing aid” (psychotropic to induce docility) and counseling services which will ensure further domestication.
