how about a 'mirror' policy for immigration. We treat foreigners how their home country would treat one of our people coming to live on their land. In almost every instance, those countries rules/laws/border walls are much tougher than ours. It would be a reverse golden rule type of arrangement that would force people to know how other countries treat American migrants.
