Migrant who sexually assaulted child and sparked UK riots mistakenly released from prison

A video shared online on Friday appears to show the offender walking freely on a crowded street

The migrant who sparked widespread protests across the UK earlier this year after sexually assaulting a child near an asylum hotel was mistakenly released from prison, triggering a manhunt and public backlash.

Hadush Kebatu, 41, was convicted on two counts of sexual assault against a 14-year-old girl and a woman, and other charges, and sentenced to 12 months in prison last month. His attacks sparked nationwide protests amid mounting public backlash to the UK’s ongoing migrant influx crisis.

After a video of Kebatu free on a busy street in the town of Chelmsford emerged on Friday, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer acknowledged that he was set loose in error.

“The mistaken release at His Majesty’s Prison (HMP) Chelmsford is totally unacceptable,” he wrote on X a few hours after the news broke.

“The police are working urgently to track him down,” he added.

Walz Donor and Former Minneapolis Chamber CEO INDICTED on Five Counts of Bank and Wire Fraud — Accused of Embezzling $200K and Stealing $30K Reward Money for Unsolved Child Murder Cases

The former CEO of the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce is facing a federal indictment after he allegedly “abused his position” to embezzle from the nonprofit and steal $30,000 in Crime Stoppers reward money reserved for anyone who helped solve three shooting cases involving children.

A grand jury on Wednesday returned an indictment against Jonathan Weinhagen on charges of wire fraud, mail fraud, attempted bank fraud, and submitting a false statement in a loan application. A judge has since granted a motion to place the indictment under seal.

Following his initial court appearance on Thursday, Weinhagen put up a $25,000 bond to secure his conditional release.

Weinhagen also served on the Mounds View School Board, but on Friday, the district posted a notice on its website saying that Weinhagen had resigned, effective immediately. His term went until Jan. 3, 2025, and the board said it will discuss how to fill the remainder of his term.

Embezzling from Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce

Weinhagen was president and CEO of the Minneapolis Regional Chamber from 2016 until his sudden departure in June 2024.

Charging documents allege that starting around 2019, Weinhagen “entered into sham contracts” with Synergy Partners, a consulting company he made under the alias “James Sullivan.” These contracts allegedly paid out more than $100,000 to Weinhagen’s fake company.

Weinhagen is also accused of taking out a line of credit at Northeast Bank in the Chamber’s name — borrowing more than $125,000 — and transferring it to Synergy Partners for his personal use. He allegedly covered up the scheme by diverting donations from Chamber of Commerce members to pay off the debt.

When the Minneapolis Regional Chamber discovered the line of credit, Weinhagen tried to cover his tracks by faking emails to make it appear as though Synergy Partners had dissolved and publishing a fake obituary for James Sullivan.

Weinhagen allegedly used the money to finance a family vacation to Hawaii, including first-class airfare and an oceanfront suite at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu.

In a statement, the Minneapolis Regional Chamber said it is aware of the allegations against Weinhagen and is cooperating with the U.S. Department of Justice’s investigation.

“Over the past 16 months, the MRC has been working diligently to make process and governance changes to help rebuild and strengthen the organization,” the nonprofit said. “The Chamber plays a vital role in the Twin Cities and remains firmly focused on our mission of creating partnerships to unite and grow member businesses and improve the Greater MSP region.”

Socialist Catherine Connolly Wins Irish Presidential Election But Historic Spoiled Ballot Campaign Raises Questions of Legitimacy

Leftist Independent lawmaker Catherine Connolly is projected to have secured a double-digit victory in Saturday’s Irish presidential election; however, a historic spoiled ballot campaign and low voter turnout demonstrate a growing disdain for the political establishment in Dublin.

Self-described socialist MP for Galway Catherine Connolly is projected to have won 64 per cent of the vote in Ireland on Saturday, besting liberal Fine Gael candidate Heather Humphreys at a projected 29 per cent, and former Irish Gaelic football manager and candidate for the centrist Fianna Fáil party before withdrawing from the race earlier this month, Jim Gavin, at 7 per cent, the Irish Times reports.

Yet despite definitively defeating her challengers, the victory may prove hollow for the 68-year-old Connolly, with turnout being low — expected to be under 50 per cent — and the number of ballots intentionally spoiled by voters projected to have reached a record-breaking 13 per cent.

Businessman Declan Ganley and others launched a grassroots campaign to spoil ballots amid accusations that the political establishment had closed ranks to prevent conservative campaigner Maria Steen of the Catholic Iona Institute from entering the race.

Under Ireland’s establishment-controlled system, prospective presidential candidates must either secure the nomination of a former or retiring president, the backing of at least four county or city councils, or support from at least 20 members of the Oireachtas (Irish Parliament). The socially conservative Steen fell short of the signatures required from Oireachtas members to qualify. The same restrictive measures also prevented UFC legend Conor McGregor from entering the race.

First Citizens Bank ($83 Million) and Santander ($55 Million) hit by First Brands collapse. Several Wall Street firms including JPMorgan, Jefferies, and Cantor Fitzgerald have also suffered losses

Big things have small beginnings.

https://x.com/MrJJB/status/1981703730778239330

Key insight: Two more regional banks disclosed credit losses related to the bankruptcy of First Brands, the U.S. auto parts maker that filed for bankruptcy amid allegations that it engaged in fraud.

What’s at stake: The list of large and regional banks with exposures to First Brands continues to grow. Affected banks, however, say the losses appear to be contained.

Forward look: Net charge-offs in the fourth quarter should return to more normal levels, one bank said.

First Citizens BancShares reported a steep increase in net charge-offs during the third quarter, with the bulk of the hike stemming from the bank’s exposure to the troubled First Brands Group.

Wall Street faces losses as HSBC tightens fraud controls

While HSBC stands clear, JPMorgan Chase is cleaning up damage from a different corner of the market. Chief Executive Officer Jamie Dimon told investors this week that the bank took a $170 million charge linked to Tricolor Holdings, a subprime auto lender.

According to Jamie, failures like those of Tricolor and First Brands could mean there are deeper issues. “When you see one cockroach, there are probably more,” he said. “Everyone should be forewarned on this one.” Jamie admitted the hit from Tricolor was “not our finest moment” and added that his team has been combing through their loan books for other potential risks.

The fallout spread quickly. Jefferies Financial Group received redemption requests from clients who had invested in a fund that financed First Brands. Point Bonita Capital, one of the firms caught in the mess, had nearly a quarter of one of its portfolios tied to the failed company.

And Cantor Fitzgerald is now trying to revise the terms of its acquisition of UBS Group’s O’Connor hedge fund, after discovering how deep the First Brands exposure ran. Losses from the bankruptcy have forced many financial firms to reassess their lending structures, especially those tied to private credit and leveraged deals.

US said flying drones over Gaza as more nations join ceasefire-monitoring HQ

Australia, France, Spain, UAE send personnel to new center in southern Israel overseeing fragile truce; US drones look for ceasefire violations amid reports that 60% of Hamas tunnels still intact

The United States has reportedly begun deploying surveillance drones over the Gaza Strip to ensure that Israel and Hamas are complying with the ceasefire, The New York Times reported Saturday. The move comes as further nations sent representatives to help monitor US-led efforts to enforce the fragile truce.

According to the Times, citing two Israeli military officials and a US defense official, the US military has begun flying drones over the Gaza Strip to monitor the ceasefire. The flights are being conducted with Israel’s consent.

The officials did not say where the drones were being operated from.

The surveillance flights reportedly aim to provide Washington with an independent picture of the situation on the ground and assist the new Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) in southern Israel that has begun operating to oversea the Trump deal.

The report noted that the US has in the past flown drone missions over Gaza in a bid to help locate the hostages, however, these flights appear to signal the Trump administration’s desire to verify developments in Gaza separately from Israeli intelligence channels.

Arizona Youth Leader ARRESTED for Child Sex Trafficking and Abuse Material

The disturbing case of Casey Goslin, a 46-year-old Phoenix man, reveals the horrifying depths of evil that illegal exploitation networks continue to spread across America.

Goslin, who served as a youth group leader and director for multiple religious organizations, was arrested by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Arizona in cooperation with the Tucson Police Department.

He now faces federal charges for attempting to produce child pornography and possessing child sexual abuse material.

The investigation uncovered that Goslin used his trusted position in youth programs to hide his sinister online activity.

Authorities say he participated in livestreamed child sexual abuse sessions, collaborating with traffickers overseas.

Children in the Philippines were reportedly exploited to create abuse material, which Goslin consumed and produced with the help of a global child sex trafficking network.

When HSI agents executed a federal search warrant, they seized numerous electronic devices that contained evidence of his crimes.

Operating online under usernames such as “live:.cid.bbdbec6f18b26922” and “live:.cid.de5ca094f7bdd45,” Goslin left a digital trail that now points investigators toward potential other victims.

Because of his role as a youth leader, federal authorities are urgently asking the public for help. They fear that more children in the United States may have been in contact with him.

Parents who believe their child may have interacted with Goslin are being asked to contact the ICE Tip Line or local law enforcement immediately.

This case is just one example of how predators infiltrate trusted community spaces—religious organizations, schools, and youth programs—where parents should feel their children are safe.

Goslin represents the kind of depravity that shatters families and scars children for life, yet Democrats in Washington continue pushing policies that weaken law enforcement tools and obstruct federal immigration and security operations.

Conservative leaders have long argued that strong enforcement and community protections are necessary to keep predators like Goslin from hiding in plain sight.

HSI emphasized that its victim-centered approach focuses on rescuing and stabilizing children who are abused.

They work with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and federal, state, and local agencies to identify and save victims of these heinous crimes.

Still, Goslin’s arrest is a reminder of how vulnerable children are when predators exploit weaknesses in our justice and cultural systems.

No child should ever live in fear of being abused by someone entrusted with their care.

Americans must stand behind law enforcement and demand strong action against child traffickers, abusers, and predators.

Every arrest like this is a step toward justice, but it also reminds us of how much more needs to be done to protect our most innocent.

Several injured, homes and cars set ablaze in several settler attacks in West Bank

Amid repeated assaults on harvesters and farmland, 3 Palestinians and 2 Israeli activists hurt by stone-throwing near Mukhmas; several settlers detained over overnight attack in al-Mughayyir

Several people were injured Saturday in the West Bank, allegedly by settlers involved in a clash with Palestinians and left-wing Israeli activists, as local homes, cars and olive groves were burned in multiple incidents throughout the day, continuing a persistent trend.

An Israeli activist assisting Palestinians in the West Bank told The Times of Israel that dozens of settlers reached the village of Mukhmas, northeast of Jerusalem, and the nearby Bedouin community of al-Ara’ara, where they set fire to homes and olive groves.

Video from the incident showed groups of settlers and Palestinians throwing stones at each other, with later footage showing settlers standing near houses that had been set on fire.

Clips also showed thick smoke and flames pouring out of the area.

According to the activist, two Israeli women who were present at the scene were injured by stones and evacuated to an Israeli hospital, one of whom separately confirmed the incident to The Times of Israel.

Trump has crossed a line in interfering in Israel's affairs, ex-Israeli diplomat says

"The nature of the relationship between Israel and the United States is asymmetrical; we are kind of a 'client state,'" he explained.

Former Israeli Consul General to New York, Alon Pinkas, criticized US interference in Israeli affairs in a conversation on Israel-US relations with Ron Kupman and Arieh Eldad on their show on 103FM radio on Friday.

Pinkas expressed anger over US President Donald Trump’s statements, such as his comments on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trial and the request for a pardon from President Isaac Herzog, as well as his involvement in deciding whether Marwan Barghouti should be released.

"A person comes, admittedly the President of the United States, but a foreign head of state, and intervenes quite bluntly in the internal affairs of another country," Pinkas said.

He added that Trump "doesn't understand at all how the system works in Israel. He thinks it's like in the United States, where the president can pardon people at will, just like he pardoned himself. What does it mean that he's calling for a pardon for Netanyahu? What does it mean that he's considering the future of?"

He added regarding the release of Barghouti that Netanyahu should not listen to the American president's demands: "In such a case, Netanyahu cannot agree. If he demands the release of Guel Ratzon, would you also have a discussion in the studio?"

"The story is business-related; everything with him is give-and-take," explained the former consul about the American president's motives.

"Israel has nothing to offer, but the Saudis, Qataris, and Emiratis do. The only thing Israel could offer Trump in exchange for American assistance with the bombings in Iran was a ceasefire in Gaza, and from Trump's perspective, Netanyahu violated his promise more than once."

"It was reported on POLITICO that the anger toward Israel was immense following its response to the ceasefire violation, and that's when he decided that Vance's and Rubio's positions would be firm. Just look at how patronizing they sound," Pinkas added.

If so, the question arises - is Israel becoming an American protectorate? "The story here is not about protection. The nature of the relationship between Israel and the United States is asymmetrical; we are kind of a 'client state,' and in the final calculation of 'for and against' over decades, Israel has benefited from it," he explained.

US Treasury Sanctions Colombian President Gustavo Petro for His Role in Drug Trade

Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is designating Gustavo Francisco Petro Urrego (Gustavo Petro), the President of Colombia, pursuant to counternarcotics-related authorities. In addition, OFAC is also designating several supporters of Gustavo Petro, namely his wife, his son, and a close associate.

“Since President Gustavo Petro came to power, cocaine production in Colombia has exploded to the highest rate in decades, flooding the United States and poisoning Americans,” said Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent. “President Petro has allowed drug cartels to flourish and refused to stop this activity. Today, President Trump is taking strong action to protect our nation and make clear that we will not tolerate the trafficking of drugs into our nation.”

Today’s action was taken pursuant to Executive Order (E.O.) 14059, which targets foreign persons involved in the global illicit drug trade.

GUSTAVO PETRO

Colombia remains the world’s top producer and exporter of cocaine. Cocaine from Colombia is often purchased by Mexican cartels, who then smuggle it into the United States via the southern border. It is a scheduled substance that is a significant drug threat to the United States, despite Gustavo Petro’s recent, flippant comparison of the use of the drug to whiskey.

Gustavo Petro is a former guerilla member who was elected to the Colombian presidency in 2022. He has provided narco-terrorist organizations with benefits under the auspices of his “total peace” plan, among other policies, which have led to record highs of coca cultivation and cocaine production. On September 15, 2025, because of Gustavo Petro and his cronies’ actions, the President determined Colombia is a major drug transit or major illicit drug producing country and that it is “failing demonstrably” to uphold its drug control responsibilities.

Gustavo Petro’s erratic behavior has also driven Colombia further apart from its partners in additional ways. In 2024, he shared confidential information obtained via secure anti-money laundering communication channels, threatening the integrity of the international financial system and leading to the suspension of Colombia’s Financial Intelligence Unit from The Egmont Group. He also has allied himself with the narco-terrorist regime of Nicolas Maduro Moros and the Cartel de Los Soles.

Gustavo Petro is being designated today pursuant to E.O. 14059 for having engaged in, or attempted to engage in, activities or transactions that have materially contributed to, or pose a significant risk of materially contributing to, the international proliferation of illicit drugs or their means of production.

FBI arrests 24, indicts 33 in massive drug raid on Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood

This is the largest indictment brought in a century in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

The FBI carried out a raid in the drug and crime ridden neighborhood of Kensington in Philadelphia on Friday, indicting 33 people and arresting 24. The neighborhood has long been a haven for drug dealers and users and this is the largest indictment brought in a century in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

The Weymouth Street Drug Trafficking Organization was targeted by the FBI and the 24 were arrested after search warrants were executed. US Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania David Metcalf said that the conspiracy has spanned about a decade and that "tremendous" volumes of drugs, including fentanyl and other narcotics, were involved, per ABC.

"We have permanently removed a drug trafficking organization out of the streets of Philadelphia, and they're going to stop pouring guns and chemicals and drugs into our communities," FBI Director Kash Patel said. "And our children are safer today."

"And like a precision missile, it has been targeted for maximum impact where it needed to go… the heart of the opioid scourge here in Kensington," Metcalf said. In addition to drugs, many firearms were seized.

Alleged ringleader Jose Antonio Morales Nieves, 45, aka "Flaco," allowed dealers to do their business on "his block" in exchange for kickbacks, known as "rent." Morales Nieves is from Puerto Rico and was arrested.

Ramon Roman-Montanez, known as "Viejo," was also arrested and was conducting street-level operations. Roman-Montanez is from Philadelphia. Nancy Rios-Valentin, 33, was allegedly organizing a schedule as to when people could peddle their goods and she also handled the proceeds from the operation.

"The vast majority of our actions were concentrated right here in Kensington, where this organization devastated the community, fueled violence and spread fear among residents for nearly a decade," said FBI Special Agent in Charge of the Philadelphia office Wayne Jacobs.

"Morales Nieves helps protect the members of the DTO through the threat of violent acts," Metcalf said, "performed either by himself or his associates, against others who have caused the Weymouth DTO harm or attempted to sell controlled substances in the DTO's territory."

"This indictment alleges that the Weymouth Street drug trafficking organization, for nearly a decade, sold and distributed substantial volumes of fentanyl, crack cocaine, cocaine and heroin, mostly in the 3100 block of Weymouth Street. They made their living in one of the most notorious and prolific segments of an open-air drug market here in Kensington," Metcalf said.
