Senator Lindsey Graham on Sunday issued an ominous warning to Venezuela’s Maduro.

Lindsey Graham appeared on CBS’s “Face the Nation” and told host Margaret Brennan that he doesn’t believe Maduro will stay around much longer.

Margaret Brennan asked Lindsey Graham about the US potentially expanding military operations inside Venezuela after the Pentagon ordered the deployment of USS Gerald Ford to the Caribbean Sea to “combat drug trafficking.”

“It’s time for Maduro to go. I hope Maduro would leave peacefully, but I don’t think he’s going to stay around much longer,” Lindsey Graham casually said.

“The game is changing when it comes to drug traffickers and drug cartels. We’re going to use military force like we have in the past to protect our country,” Lindsey Graham said.

Lindsey Graham then warned Maduro to get out or else.

“And if I were Maduro, I’d find a way to leave before heat goes down,” he said.

Zelensky ready to fight for three more years – Polish PM

The Ukrainian leader shared his assessment with Donald Tusk as the EU scrambles to secure more funding to support Kiev

Vladimir Zelensky expects Ukraine to be able to fight Russia for up to three more years, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has told The Sunday Times. The Ukrainian leader’s reported remark comes as the EU is looking for new ways to fund Kiev, eyeing Russia’s frozen central-bank assets as an option.

In an interview with the British newspaper on Saturday, Tusk quoted Zelensky as saying that “he hopes that the war will not last ten years, but that Ukraine is ready to fight for another two, three years.” Should the conflict with Russia drag on longer, Zelensky is “anxious about the toll the war would take on its population and economy,” the Polish prime minister said.

On Tuesday, the Spanish newspaper El Pais reported that “Ukraine has serious financial problems.” The outlet wrote, citing anonymous EU sources, that Kiev only has enough money to stay afloat “until the end of the first quarter of 2026.”

On Wednesday, the Ukrainian parliament passed a draft budget for 2026, which runs a deficit of over 58%.

In recent weeks, EU leaders have intensified discussions over a so-called “reparations loan” of up to €140 billion ($163 billion) for which the frozen Russian assets would serve as collateral. Under the scheme, Ukraine would be required to repay the loan only if Moscow compensates it for damages inflicted during the conflict.

The bloc has already tapped into the revenues generated by the immobilized Russian assets.

Moscow has described this as “theft” and has vowed to retaliate.

Following the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in February 2022, the US and EU blocked an estimated $300 billion in Russian assets – some €200 billion ($213 billion) of which is being held by the Brussels-based clearinghouse Euroclear.

Belgium has repeatedly objected to the proposed plan, demanding that the risk be shared among all EU members in case the scheme backfires. On Thursday, Prime Minister Bart De Wever told reporters that his country’s concerns have not been adequately addressed.

Turning Point Australia ready to lead the brewing political revolution

TURNING Point Australia’s leader Joel Jammal is a sharp and well informed political operator who is under no illusions about the future direction of Australian politics – and his prediction is not as bad as we might fear.

Jammal is a student of Australian and American political history, and told a packed auditorium on the Gold Coast on Sunday night that the political scene of Australia was ripe for change, as indicated by The Voice referendum vote.

“The Voice referendum was the turning point,” he said, pun intended. “It was the political class versus the people. It was a binary vote (yes or no) and an overwhelming win for the people. Even in communist Victoria it was 55 percent voting no.”

The Voice in turn gave birth to the March for Australia movement in opposition to unchecked immigration. Jammal is well aware of immigration-based scams including the existence of fake universities in Sydney and the organised scamming of the NDIS.

Jammal noted that his father was allowed to come into Australia from Lebanon under the old White Australia policy because he was judged of suitable character. The policy was amended in 1958 to allow non-British Europeans into Australia.

These are the people Turning Point Australia is targeting, in addition to university students, in the same manner as the late Charlie Kirk, whose death had left him “numb”.

Turning Point Australia had its roots in the Covid protests and has been running it Australia for four years. Jammal and his associates were put in touch with TPUSA by Nigel Farage, when he toured Australia.

The organisation, while inspired by the work of Charlie Kirk, is run independently of TPUSA and does not receive financial support from them. The US organisation has been running for 13 years, and after Kirk’s assassination, received 150,000 inquiries for setting up new chapters in US high schools and colleges.

Jammal also noted the insightful political/historical work of Neil Howe and the late William Strauss titled The Fourth Turning, and said it was highly significant that the beleagured Liberal Party of Australia had just turned 81 years old. Thirty years ago Howe and Strauss developed a provocative new theory of American history that is highly relevant to the Liberals’ history.

Looking back at the last 500 years, Howe and Strauss uncovered a distinct pattern: modern history moves in cycles, each one lasting roughly 80 to 100 years, the length of a long human life, with each cycle composed of four eras—or “turnings”—that always arrive in the same order and each last about twenty years.

Jammal, while not rejecting the Liberals as a political force, noted that they had declined dramatically in all states except, perhaps, Queensland. They had also lost sight of their original “We Believe” statement developed by Robert Menzies.

However that should not preclude well informed people joining the Liberals or some other party and voting in pre-selections for the right candidates. Jammal works with people across the board.

He was speaking at a meeting organised by a local pentecostal church and attended by some 300 people.

Jammal, whose family were Lebanese immigrants to Australia in the early 1960s, himself attends Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel’s Christ the Good Shepherd Assyrian Orthodox church in Wakeley, Sydney.

The Bishop, who became a Tik Tok celebrity followed by hundreds of thousands of young people worldwide, was the target of a much publicised knife attack in 2024 that left him blind in one eye.

European hawks undermine Russia-US negotiations – Lavrov

Without interference, the diplomacy would have yielded a result already, Russia’s top diplomat believes

The US administration has been subjected to “unbelievable” pressure by the European warhawks and Kiev, who are bent on derailing negotiations with Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said.

The top diplomat made the remarks in an interview with Hungarian YouTube channel Ultrahang, which aired on Sunday. Moscow is not seeking to somehow influence or “interfere” in the “internal considerations” of the US leadership, which has been facing mounting pressure in the wake of the rapprochement effort with Moscow launched under President Donald Trump, Lavrov said.

“We don’t want to create some discomfort for the United States, which is under huge, unbelievable pressure from the European ‘hawks,’ from [Ukraine’s Vladimir] Zelensky, and others who don’t want to have any American-Russian cooperation on anything,” Lavrov stated.

“There are enough people who are not very polite and who impose themselves upon Washington politicians and use every means to undermine the process, which could have achieved its goals some time ago.”

Those seeking to disrupt the negotiations between Washington and Moscow are “trying to push President Trump from the logic that he repeatedly presented in the past,” Lavrov stated. The US president has repeatedly said the Ukraine conflict must be resolved for good and clearly reiterated the position when he hosted his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, in Alaska, Lavrov noted.

“It was determined by all that the best way to end the horrific war between Russia and Ukraine is to go directly to a peace agreement, which would end the war, and not a mere ceasefire agreement. This is key,” Lavrov said.

The latest shifts in the US rhetoric, “when people now say, ‘nothing but a ceasefire, immediate ceasefire, and then history will judge,’ it’s a very radical change,” the top diplomat said.

“This also means that the Europeans, they don’t sleep, they don’t eat, and they try to twist the hands of this administration,” he added.

Moscow has consistently signaled it has been seeking a lasting solution to the hostilities, rather than a temporary pause. Kiev and its Western backers, however, have repeatedly called for an immediate ceasefire, which Moscow regards only as a means to give Ukraine the breathing room needed to replenish the ranks of its military and rearm.

Google's AI Called Conservative Star A Rapist. Now He's Suing Them.

Conservative activist Robby Starbuck has launched a $15 million defamation lawsuit against tech giant Google, accusing its AI tools such as Bard, Gemini, and Gemma of spreading "outrageously false" claims that paint him as a criminal. Filed in Delaware Superior Court, the suit alleges Google's AI falsely accused Starbuck of heinous acts, including sexual assault, rape, harassment, stalking, drug charges, resisting arrest, murder, and even ties to Jeffrey Epstein’s illicit activities. These smears, Starbuck claims, reached an estimated 2.8 million users, threatening his reputation and safety.

Starbuck, a vocal critic of woke corporate policies, said he sent cease-and-desist letters to Google executives, including CEO Sundar Pichai, demanding action. Yet, the defamatory outputs continued, amplifying concerns in light of a recent assassination attempt on conservative figure Charlie Kirk. Starbuck argues the false claims could incite violence against him, citing the volatile political climate.

“If you know me personally, then of course you know that none of these articles or claims are true … I certainly wasn’t accused of murder in 1991 when I was two years old. But if you aren’t familiar with my full biography or my age, then you’d have no reason to doubt anything Google’s AI was saying,” Starbuck said in a statement. "So what’s happening here is that Google went out of its way to fabricate an entire story to damage my reputation and then fraudulently invented fake mainstream news stories as validation for Google’s lies.”

The lawsuit accuses Google of negligence and malice, alleging its AI was deliberately engineered to target conservative voices. Starbuck’s legal team contends the tech giant failed to address known flaws in its large language models (LLMs), allowing harmful fabrications to spread unchecked.

“This case underscores the unprecedented danger posed when a trillion-dollar corporation deploys AI tools capable of destroying reputations in seconds and then refuses to take responsibility for the damage,” said Krista Baughman, a partner at the Dhillon Law Group that is representing Starbuck. “Free expression does not give license to fabricate criminal accusations about private citizens. AI companies must be held to the same standards of truth and accountability as any other publisher.”

Google dismissed Starbuck's claims, attributing the issues to “hallucinations,”which is a common problem in early AI models now purportedly resolved. The tech giant claimed it cannot replicate the alleged outputs in its current AI products and suggests creative user prompting may have triggered the errors.

Two U.S. Navy Aircraft Go Down in South China Sea

Two USS Nimitz aircraft crash within an hour in separate mishaps

Both aircraft were on routine flight operations, the Navy said, when they went down in the water only 30 minutes apart. All crew were recovered safely.

A F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter jet and a MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier both crashed into the South China Sea Sunday afternoon in separate aircraft mishaps. A spokesperson for the U.S. Pacific Fleet confirmed the two crashes, saying in a statement that the mishaps happened approximately half an hour apart.

All five Navy personnel involved in the two mishaps were safely recovered and described as being in stable condition. The U.S. Naval Institute first reported on the crashes.

Both the Super Hornet and the Sea Hawk were conducting “routine operations” after taking off from the USS Nimitz on Sunday afternoon. At approximately 2:45 p.m. local time, a MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter with Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 73 went down in the waters. Search and rescue teams were able to reach the three crew members who were safely pulled out of the water.

Then, 30 minutes later, a two-seater F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter jet with Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 22 also suffered a mishap. Both crewmembers were able to safely eject, while the Super Hornet crashed into the sea. The Navy did not say how close the two incidents were.

“The cause of both incidents is currently under investigation,” the spokesperson said. U.S. Pacific Fleet did not provide any additional details on the nature of each crash.

The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group, including Carrier Air Wing 12 which both aircraft are a part of, is currently operating in the South China Sea, after having previously been deployed to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility during the summer as part of a wider American military buildup. It arrived in the South China Sea earlier this month.

Incidents involving Navy F/A-18s are rare though not uncommon. In the summer of 2022, heavy weather blew a F/A-18 off the deck of the USS Harry S. Truman as it sailed through the Mediterranean Sea. The plane was eventually recovered a month later. In December 2024, the Navy accidentally shot down one of its own Super Hornets during combat operations in the Red Sea. One crewmember suffered minor injuries and both were able to eject safely.
