Moment 6.1-magnitude earthquake hits Turkey: CCTV shows buildings shaking as residents rush for cover

A 6.1-magnitude earthquake has struck western Turkey - bringing down buildings and sending residents racing for cover.

Shaking started in the town of Sindirgi at 10.48pm (19.48 GMT) on Monday. The quake was 3.7miles deep, and followed by several aftershocks.

Dramatic CCTV footage shows residents running to safety while dining out. Elsewhere, clips showed lights swaying and furniture creaking as the rumbling went on.

One gamer caught her reaction on live stream, with viewers watching on as she clambered under her desk while her room shook.

This is the second earthquake to hit the area in fewer than three months.

In the hours that followed, there were no immediate reports of deaths. Twenty-two people have been injured in the chaos, Balikesir's governor Ismail Ustaoglu said.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said three buildings had been destroyed, but they were unoccupied and damaged in the last quake.

He confirmed that a two-storey shop also collapsed in the area.

Trump HHS reversing Biden policy that funded abortions for illegal immigrant minors

President Trump’s administration is rolling back a pro-abortion rule from the Biden White House that helped illegal immigrant minors kill their innocent preborn babies with the help of taxpayer dollars.

President Trump is getting rid of a Biden-era rule that facilitated abortions for minor illegal immigrants, sometimes called “unaccompanied minors.”

The Department of Health and Human Services is officially removing a 2022 rule issued by the Biden administration that ignored longstanding federal law, the Hyde Amendment, and used taxpayer dollars to kill babies. The November 2022 change was part of the Biden administration’s “whole-of-government” approach to facilitate the killing of as many preborn babies as possible following the reversal of Roe v. Wade.

“HHS is reviewing the relevant regulations and guidance to ensure they align with all applicable laws, including the Hyde Amendment,” an unnamed official told the Daily Signal recently.

The 2022 rule explicitly told the Office of Refugee Resettlement to help illegal immigrants minors get abortions, even if the law did not provide for it, the Daily Signal reported.

“This formed the basis for the office to provide transportation for a number of minors to receive abortions,” the Daily Signal reported. “This includes out-of-state travel for minors in states where abortion is banned.”

During Biden’s administration, his officials ignored federal law and undermined checks and balances by pushing through legally dubious policies, including removing virtually any limits on the distribution of dangerous chemical abortion drugs. This effort to flood the country, particularly states with some protections for preborn babies, has led to about 63 percent of all abortions being committed with the abortion pills.

In the wake of the reversal of Roe v. Wade, other Democratic Party leaders also floated ideas to ensure women could continue to kill their preborn babies without any limits. Left-wing Congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York demanded the Biden administration build abortion facilities on federal lands, like at national parks.

“I’ll start with the babiest of the babiest of the baby steps,” she said without irony in June 2022. “Open abortion clinics on federal lands in red states right now. Right now.”

In contrast, the Trump administration has taken some steps to protect preborn lives. As part of the “One Big Beautiful Bill” budget signed this summer, the Trump administration temporarily defunded some abortions vendors like Planned Parenthood of taxpayer dollars. The defunding has led to closures and staff cutbacks at some locations.

However, the Trump administration also approved a generic abortion drug and has pushed companies to pay for in vitro fertilization. He also has sought to make IVF easier to pay for. This procedure almost always requires the creation of extra unborn children who are often intentionally destroyed.

The Committee called in several Biden aides as part of its investigation into Joe Biden’s cognitive decline.

Top Biden aide Mike Donilon told the House Oversight Committee over the summer that he was promised a $4 million bonus if Joe Biden won the 2024 election.

It was previously reported that Donilon was paid a $4 million salary for his 2024 election work, but an additional $4 million bonus was revealed during his testimony.

Over the summer, Axios reported on Donilon’s testimony, where he admitted to the multi-million-dollar bonus.

“Just to be clear, would the amount of pay you received for your role in the campaign — would that have changed depending on how far into the race President Biden made it?” a congressional investigator asked Donilon.

Donilon squirmed and took long pauses before he answered.

“In my view, the money was — that it was a guarantee with the campaign. We had a negotiation and that’s my memory of the agreement,” he said.

Another congressional investigator asked Donilon about the bonus he was promised.

“Would you have received a bonus depending on the way the campaign went. Is that a possibility?” the investigator asked. “Were there any circumstances in which you would have received a bonus?

Donilon conceded: “Yes, there was.”

“And what were those circumstances?” the investigators asked.

“That Joe Biden would have been reelected President of the United States,” Donilon replied.

“What would the bonus have been?” the investigator asked.

“Um, I believe it would have been $4 million,” Donilon said confirming the $4 million bonus would have been in addition to his $4 million salary.

OBJECTIVE: The operation aims to combat the territorial expansion of the Comando Vermelho and to capture criminal leaderships from Rio de Janeiro and other states. The action also involves the participation of prosecutors from the State Public Prosecutor's Office.

INVESTIGATION: The "Operation Containment" was launched after more than a year of investigation conducted by the Narcotics Repression Police Station (DRE). Throughout the day, arrest warrants and search and seizure warrants obtained from the Judiciary will be served.

Such large-scale operations in favelas to combat drug cartels have been seen ahead of previous international events in Rio, including the 2016 Olympics, the 2024 G20 summit, and the recent BRICS summit.

More than 160 Republicans potentially investigated in FBI’s Arctic Frost probe, House panel says

The size and scope of the Biden-era Arctic Frost investigation continues to be revealed to be larger than known as more internal DOJ & FBI records are released.

The GOP-led House Judiciary Committee disclosed Tuesday that more than 160 Republicans – including many closely connected to President Donald Trump – were targeted for possible investigation during the Biden Justice Department’s Arctic Frost investigation.

The committee tweeted that recently reviewed documents show the Arctic Frost investigation appears more wide-ranging than initially believed in Biden's DOJ's effort to "take down President Trump and his supporters.”

The nearly 200 pages of documents provide new insights into the sweeping investigation aimed at Trump World, which was launched by the FBI under then-Director Chris Wray and later picked up by former DOJ special counsel Jack Smith under then-Attorney General Merrick Garland.

The committee, led by Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, said that “45 individuals” including former Trump White House adviser Steve Bannon, Rep. Scott Perry, R-Pa, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former Trump DOJ official Jeffrey Clark, former Trump attorney John Eastman, and former Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., “were potentially under investigation.”

The GOP-led committee argued that “another 111 individuals” including Trump trade adviser Peter Navarro, Trump senior adviser Dan Scavino, former Trump DOJ official Jeff Rosen, and current DOJ weaponization czar Ed Martin “were also potentially under investigation.”

The new records revealed the internal threat tags used by the FBI for this investigation, including “FRAUD CORRUPT”, “CORRUPT”, “PCORRUPT”, and “PCORRUPT_CAMP.” The newly-released documents also include the FBI’s “predication” for making various people “targets” of the investigation.

The new records include a declassified October 2020 “Tactical Intelligence Report” from the FBI’s Washington Field Office which claimed that “Trump Campaign Funds Layered through Clearinghouse Firm Likely Misused by Campaign Digital Director.”

The newly-released FBI emails from May 2022 show a redacted official from Washington Field Office saying, “Thank you again (and again and again) for your help in interviews in Arctic Frost.” The message was sent to many different regional FBI field offices.

One unidentified FBI official sent an email remarking that “everything” related to the Arctic Frost investigation “is restricted” inside the FBI systems.

Another FBI Washington Field Office email that month said: “The Arctic Frost team is requesting approximately $16,600 from PCU [Public Corruption Unit] for travel in June to conduct more than 40 interviews, serve subpoenas, and execute several cellular device search warrants.” The attached document listed out dozens of GOP-linked officials from Arizona, Virginia, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and New Mexico.

A record from September 2022 was titled “Subpoena_Counsel_Matrix” and listed dozens of GOP-linked activists, public officials, purported electors, and government employees allegedly tied to events surrounding the 2020 election.
