Also today, I posted a link to Monster regarding programmer jobs in Manhattan NY. There were about 20 hits, half of the included hits were from NJ and CT, that leaves about 10 jobs. Of those ten, 2 were for CNC programmers, 7 were recruiters, and one was for JP Morgan. I can guarantee you that all those recruiters were looking to fill that one JP Morgan job. So in effect, there was only one programming job, and I can guarantee you that JP Morgan has had that same post for many months if not the whole year to pretend like they still hire Americans. So even with a 100k penalty on H1bs visas, it doesn't reflect on jobs because they were just outsource over the wire. So essentially, NYC hasZEROprogramming jobs for Americans.
