True life experience of the shit called 'healthcare.' 10/3 Wifeanon went in for leg pain, 3 trips to the ER and 10 days later after a spinal MRI they determine she has an infection inside her spine. Surgery took the rear portion off of about 10 vertebrae. Pretty much on narcotic pain meds and bedridden since. Moved to a new facility Friday. Today I go in at 11:30 to visit. 12:30 they check blood glucose. I ask about lunch for her they say 1:00-1:15. Around 1:15 I see trays being delivered. 1:45 no tray yet, but they come in asking what she wants for dinner: cheeseburger or corndog. I explain she has not had lunch. They say they will check and get something. Luckily I had a protein shake in the car and get it for her. 3:00 rolls around and they finally arrive with a PB&J sandwich, corn chips and grape juice. I pay good money for real insurance and get this crap. Came home and making her dinner and will return when complete. Will be complaining to the facility and ins. co in the morning. Will also be trying to get her moved somewhere they treat her better than an animal. If only we were in the country illegally or a member of Congress……
