Independent forensic document analysts in accredited scientific laboratories (in Europe and U.S.) were able to show that the document released by the Administration contains portions of a Honolulu Certificate of Live Birth from an unrelated individual from the same time period and hospital of Obama's birth. Obama's information was superimposed into this document digitally and replicate the glyphs and typesetting, very poorly.
You can see how those document portions were mirrored horizontally so as not to be exact duplicates, how there is inconsistent anti-aliasing (digitally applied fonts with subpixel smoothing around the edges) in numbers which were replaced.
Honestly, it doesn't take a document specialist to realize that this is a fake. So, why would the Administration, which released these documents, do so?

Let me guess, the "fraud" of ACORN in 2008 where workers were paid by the voter registration, leading some of them to fill out forms with entries like "mickey mouse". Which were promptly caught in the registration process and rejected, nobody was going to show up on election day and get to vote as mickey mouse.
Besides, ACORN helped register only about 1mil voters, even if 100% of those registrations resulted in voter fraud (somehow) it still would not have changed the election results of Obama winning by 9 million votes.
But I still hear people parroting the pre-election ACORN scaremongering from FOX when we have the post-election data. There was no fraud, and even if there were massive fraud it wouldn't have changed things.
Middle of an economic crisis, an incumbent party running at very low polling numbers… McCain didn't lose the election, darn any republican would have lost that one, and darn near any democratic candidate would have won it.
