Israel Charges Lebanon Is 'Dragging Feet' On Disarming Hezbollah, Threatens 'Deeper' Escalation

Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened further escalation against Lebanon on Sunday, accusing the country’s President Joseph Aoun of "dragging his feet" and delaying the disarmament of Hezbollah.

"Hezbollah is playing with fire and the President of Lebanon is dragging his feet," Katz said in a social media post. "The Lebanese government's commitment to disarm Hezbollah and remove it from southern Lebanon must be carried out." He added: "The strictest enforcement will continue and will even deepen – we will not allow a threat to the residents of the north." Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also said during a cabinet session on Sunday that Tel Aviv "will not allow the Lebanon front to once again be a source of threat to Israel," saying additionally "We will do what is necessary to prevent that."

The latest threats came hours after an Israeli strike on south Lebanon’s Kfar Remman killed four people and injured several others. The Israeli army released a statement claiming the four were all members of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Unit – including one who it said was a logistics officer.

"The terrorist facilitated the transfer of weapons and was involved in attempts to rehabilitate terrorist infrastructure of the Hezbollah terrorist organization… Three other terrorists from the Radwan Force in the Hezbollah terrorist organization were eliminated in the attack," it said.

The four killed in Kfar Remman were identified in Lebanese media as Mohammad Jawad Mustafa Jaber, Abdallah Khalil, Hadi Hamid, Mohammad Kahil. The strike brings the toll of Lebanese people killed by Israel since the start of last month up to at least 34.

One person was killed and others were injured in an Israeli strike on the southern Lebanese town of Kunin on October 31. A day earlier, an Israeli ground force stormed the Lebanese town of Blida and executed a municipal worker as he was asleep in Blida's municipal building.

Following the attack, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun instructed army chief Rudolphe Haikal to have the Lebanese Army confront any Israeli incursion into the south "in defense of Lebanese land and the safety of citizens." Israel has escalated its strikes on Lebanon significantly over the past few weeks.

The group actively blocks state-level food safety laws and undermines the Make America Healthy Again coalition’s efforts to improve the quality of the U.S. food supply.

Ultraprocessed food and agribusiness companies have launched a new organization, Americans for Ingredient Transparency (AFIT), to counteract efforts by the “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) coalition and others to improve the quality of America’s food supply.

AFIT is funded by large ultraprocessed food and beverage companies, including General Mills, Kraft Heinz, Nestlé, Tyson Foods, Coca-Cola and PepsiCo, and more than a dozen food industry trade associations.

These companies appear to be using the deceptively named AFIT not to promote transparency but rather to federally preempt tough new state-level food safety laws.

New information from JPMorgan Chase documents reveals the bank was repeatedly warned about suspicious financial transactions involving Jeffrey Epstein, including tens of millions tied to well-connected figures on Wall Street.

This all took place during Epstein’s long tenure at the bank as a client, even as he was accused of sex trafficking and abuse.

The suspicious activity report from 2019, released to the public under judicial order, flagged more than 4,700 transactions totaling over $1 billion. These transactions linked Epstein to heavy-hitters like Leon Black of Apollo Global Management, hedge fund heavyweight Glenn Dubin, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, and retailers mogul Leslie Wexner. The complexity and scale of financial activities raised serious red flags about money laundering and the financing of criminal enterprises.

JPMorgan did warn authorities. Yet, as reported by The Times last September, the bank kept moving Epstein’s money offshore and facilitating transactions, even those involving his sex trafficking victims, while key executives allegedly ignored the risks. People within JPMorgan repeatedly sounded the alarm, but no significant action was taken in time.

Leslie Wexner accused Epstein of looting “vast sums” from his trusts, where Epstein served as trustee for years. Transactions involving Leon Black included payments to women tied to Epstein, amounting to about $170 million. Epstein also played a role in brokering the sale of Dubin’s hedge fund to JPMorgan, collecting a $15 million fee, in addition to personal ties with Dubin’s family.

While none of these powerful associates face charges related to Epstein, the revelations demand accountability, especially as Congress now pressures JPMorgan’s CEO, Jamie Dimon, to testify about the bank’s complicity.

The documents illuminate Epstein’s deep ties to elite Silicon Valley figures too. Emails show efforts to recruit Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page as clients, with billions flowing through JPMorgan accounts under Epstein’s influence.

As Epstein’s death by suicide dominated headlines in 2019, an internal JPMorgan email even referenced a Times article on the event to senior executives, including Dimon himself.

Adding fuel to the fire, Republican Congressman Thomas Massie highlighted on X that efforts to hold those involved accountable face stiff resistance within the GOP. Despite securing enough votes to advance Epstein investigations, Massie was blocked by party leadership from bringing this critical issue before the House.

The sprawling financial network around Epstein remains one of the darkest corners of elite corruption. JPMorgan’s failure to act and the political cover-ups blocking justice only underscore the urgent need for greater transparency and accountability at the highest levels.

Histadrut chief, other senior labor officials detained in massive corruption probe

Police raid labor union’s offices, apprehend chairman Arnon Bar-David; investigation spanned two years, involves suspicion of bribery, fraud, money laundering; 350 to be questioned

Police on Monday detained a number of senior officials in the Histadrut, Israel’s main labor federation, including its chair Arnon Bar-David, amid a major investigation into alleged corruption.

While some details of the probe were not revealed, police said the investigation spanned more than two years, and that those detained are suspected of bribery, fraud, breach of trust, money laundering and tax offenses.

In a statement, police said dozens of suspects were detained in connection with the alleged scheme. As part of the corruption probe, a list of almost 350 suspects, including heads of local authorities and senior business figures, is expected to be questioned over the coming days.

On Monday, 35 suspects, including several senior officials in local authorities across the country, were summoned for questioning by law enforcement authorities. Some of them were detained for questioning, among them Bar-David and his partner.

Police said the undercover investigation, which began around two years ago, found that senior officials of several municipalities and local authorities allegedly accepted bribes and benefits from businessmen, in exchange for promoting their companies and business interests.

Israel Police chief Danny Levy called it “one of the most serious cases we have investigated.”

He added, “There is a connection between businesspeople and senior figures in the economy, including labor unions, for both electoral and promotional purposes. We will act decisively and without fear of investigating senior figures in order to get to the truth.”

The Rishon Lezion Magistrate’s Court later ordered Bar-David remanded in custody for at least eight days. Police had requested his remand be extended by 10 days due to concerns over obstruction of justice and tampering in the investigation. His wife Hila, another suspect in the case, was remanded for a week.

Law enforcement officers from the Lahav 433 major crimes unit raided the offices of the organization on Monday morning, as well as the homes of several senior union officials, offices of local authorities, and corporations.

One businessman under suspicion, who owns an insurance agency and is said to be directly associated with Bar-David, allegedly operated a system with the Histadrut, using his ties and connections to procure jobs and hand out senior positions in government-owned corporations and local authorities in exchange for securing insurance contracts with labor unions and municipalities and their workers.

Trump readies US troops for ground invasion in Mexico to go after drug cartels: report

Officials say the strikes aren’t meant to destabilize Mexico’s government

The Trump administration has started planning for on-the-ground military and intelligence operations on Mexican soil to pursue drug cartels as part of what President Donald Trump has described as an “armed conflict” with narcotics trafficking organizations.

Personnel who would be involved in the operations from the Pentagon’s Joint Special Operations Command and the Central Intelligence Agency are already in “the early stages of training” for the missions, which two current U.S. officials described as not imminent, NBC News reported Monday.

Trump has designated the drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.

The officials also said there are ongoing discussions within the administration on the size and scope of the missions, and no final decision has been made as to whether to authorize any of the planned operations, but if they get a green light, the JSOC personnel would operate under Title 50 of the United States Code, which provides a legal framework for covert intelligence operations.

If authorized, the planned missions would represent a significant escalation in Trump’s ongoing series of attacks against he has claimed to be drug cartel operations, which include at least 15 strikes against alleged drug smuggling boats in the Caribbean and western Pacific Ocean.

In September, the administration declared that the United States is formally engaged in an “armed conflict” with drug cartels that the president has labeled “unlawful combatants,” according to a notice to members of Congress.

The notice claimed cartels are “non-state armed groups” whose actions “constitute an armed attack against the United States” and are now engaged in a “non-international armed conflict” — or war with a non-state actor.

Asked last month why he won’t seek permission from Congress for his military campaign taking aim at South American regimes he claims are fueling a drug epidemic in the United States, Trump said his government is “just going to kill people” instead.

“I don’t think we're going to necessarily ask for a declaration of war. I think we’re just going to kill people that are bringing drugs into our country, OK? We’re going to kill them,” Trump said during a White House roundtable with administration officials.

“They’re going to be, like, dead, OK,” he said.

The Director General of Health Affairs in the Gaza Strip, Munir Al-Bursh, has revealed that Israeli forces left behind booby-trapped dolls and toys designed to attract children. There are more than 41,000 voter registrations in the state without matching Department of Transportation records such as drivers licenses or identification cards, a number that is nearly double the total from 2020, according to Wisconsin Election Commission data acquired by the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty.

The data is required by the Help America Vote Act but WILL was denied further information from the databases to verify what the specific discrepancies were.

They include 11,174 registrations without a driver’s license number, up from 4,885 in 2020 and 24,733 cases where a name does not fully match WisDOT information, up from 15,260 in 2020.

“We’re not in any way saying that these 40,000 votes were fraudulent votes,” Lucas Vebber, deputy counsel for the WILL, told The Center Square. “We don’t know that. We don’t even know if these 40,000 names were even voters in the election. We know that they’re on the voter registration list and it’s certainly likely, of course, that some of them voted.

“But we don’t know because we don’t know who voted and we don’t know what all the discrepancies are. It could be something innocuous, it could be something more serious. But our point in the letter is just saying this is serious enough that questions need to be answered and we need a little more transparency here from the government.”

WILL sent a follow-up letter to the U.S. Department of Justice on the issue after urging the department earlier this fall to take a deeper look at the issue.

A Waukesha County judge ruled in an unrelated case earlier this month that the WEC must check voter registration information with state identification information to ensure the voter rolls are accurate but a stay was placed on that ruling until the results of a hearing scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Friday.

The WEC data showed that the name and date of birth don’t match on 680 registrations, just the date of birth doesn’t match on 3,110 and there were no WisDOT matches found for 2,069 registrations.

WILL has urged the WEC to explain why it has different processed to vet online voter registration information than hand-written forms.

‘Horror story’: RFK Jr. reveals chilling organ harvesting scandal

One woman regained consciousness mid-harvest before dying in the hospital.

Ashocking revelation from Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has exposed what he calls a “horror story” inside America’s organ donation system.

On a recent segment of Newsmax, RFK Jr. detailed a case in which a woman allegedly awoke while her organs were being harvested and did not live to tell the tale.

“It’s a horror story, and part of it is because of the capture of the agency that was regulating ORR, had a — the board that was actually regulating organ harvesting was overlapping with the contractor that was actually harvesting the organs,” he began.

“I had one instance where a family was waiting at the hospital for the body of their deceased relative. The relative was brought to one of these private organ harvesting centers, awoke while they were harvesting her organs, and then was brought back to the hospital … where she died eventually,” he continued.

“But the family, you know, brought litigation, and that’s the only reason that we learned of this story. We’ve done a complete investigation of that company. We’ve taken the contract away from that company, and we’re reorganizing it so that we will be regulating it and running it directly at HHS and this will never happen again,” he added.

Epstein was an invaluable resource for Israel’s former prime minister, who also served as head of intelligence and defense minister throughout his career, sharing whispers from within Russian elite circles and intel on Putin’s interlocutors in Europe and the U.S—and even advising him on how to engage with the Mossad. Barak, fresh out of his role as Israeli defense minister, built a deep portfolio of investments and business relationships around the world with Epstein’s help.

On February 21, 2014, Epstein wrote to Barak, “with civil unrest exploding in ukraine syria, somolia [sic], libya, and the desperation of those in power, isn’t this perfect for you.” Barak replied: “You’re right [in] a way. But not simple to transform it into a cash flow. A subject for Saturday.”

These efforts also provided cover for covert diplomacy on behalf of the Israeli government. In their exchanges, Epstein expressed his frustration at the Obama administration’s failures to contain Tehran, as the two men searched for opportunities to promote U.S. strikes on Iran.

Despite securing a sit-down with Putin in the summer of 2013, they did not succeed in convincing Russia to support Assad’s ouster, but their negotiations set the stage for U.S.-Russia cooperation on disarmament of Syria’s chemical weapons arsenal a few months later.

Michael Oren, former Israeli ambassador to the U.S., wrote in his memoir that Israel’s diplomatic leadership was told to “avoid being perceived as a player” in Syria. Clandestine actors sought to shape agendas in Moscow and Washington, while Israeli officials denied involvement and used the media to legitimize “red lines” for air strikes inside Syria.

Mississippi Woman Kills Escaped Monkey

'I shot at it and it just stood there, and I shot again, and he backed up and that's when he fell…'

One of the monkeys that escaped last week after a truck overturned on a Mississippi roadway was shot and killed early Sunday by a woman who says she feared for the safety of her children.

Jessica Bond Ferguson said she was alerted early Sunday by her 16-year-old son who said he thought he had seen a monkey running in the yard outside their home near Heidelberg, Mississippi. She got out bed, grabbed her firearm and her cellphone and stepped outside where she saw the monkey about 60 feet away.

Bond Ferguson said she and other residents had been warned about diseases that the escaped monkeys carried so she fired her gun.

“I did what any other mother would do to protect her children,” Bond Ferguson, who has five children ranging in age from 4 to 16, told The Associated Press. “I shot at it and it just stood there, and I shot again, and he backed up and that’s when he fell.”
