If Republicans were serious about illegal immigration, they would fine the employers that are breaking the law (by hiring illegals). It would actually be super easy to find them. Every employer reports the wages, names and SSNs of their employees on a quarterly basis. Just look for SSNs with an unreasonable number of jobs (e.g. 12+) or SSNs with an unreasonable number of last names (e.g. 6+). The data is all there.

True, and they would end all legal migration as well, at least for a decade or so. It is much more insidious, and takes many more well-paying jobs away from Americans. Even worse, once a migrant(especially Indians) gains a managerial position, they will specifically hire their own people. We need to start putting actual Americans first, not Paper-Americans or Hyphenated Americans
