I had a Teach Yourself Arabic book in the 90's, was all big on learning languages back then because I was good at it and had a high school teacher that encouraged it. The one thing I remember about it in the first chapter, it desribes the glottal sounds needed for some words and to English speakers to make the same sounds they have to use muscles in their throat that normally only get used when vomiting. This was the book, bad that company's Latin, Icelaandic, Russian, Ancient Greek, and Hindi books too. Pretty damn ashamed now how I went about acquiring them.
