VA Expands Psychedelic Therapy Trials for PTSD Treatment

The Department of Veterans Affairs has confirmed it is expanding psychedelic-assisted therapy trials for veterans diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD), treatment resistant depression, and anxiety disorders.

Nine VA facilities, in the Bronx, Los Angeles, Omaha, Palo Alto, Portland (Oregon), San Diego, San Francisco, West Haven, and White River Junction; are participating in the multi-year studies, each designed to test the safety and clinical impact of psychedelic compounds used under strict supervision.

VA Press Secretary Pete Kasperowicz told Military.com the work is proceeding under “strict safety and regulatory procedure,” noting that all studies involve substances still listed under Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA).

“VA’s work on psychedelics is at an early stage and results from these trials will be available in the years to come,” Kasperowicz said. “This research is just one part of VA’s comprehensive mental health and suicide prevention efforts.”

For many veterans, existing PTSD treatments, such as cognitive processing therapy or medication can help manage symptoms but don’t always resolve the underlying trauma.

That challenge has pushed VA researchers to explore new models of care. In 2024, the VA announced funding for MDMA- and psilocybin-assisted therapy studies, marking the first time the agency directly supported psychedelic research for veteran mental health.

The new expansion builds on that foundation. Each site will recruit participants based on specific diagnostic criteria and treatment history. Some trials focus on combat-related PTSD, while others include veterans with depression or generalized anxiety disorder who have not responded to standard therapies.

“The goal is not to replace traditional care,” one VA research summary explains, “but to determine whether psychedelic-assisted therapy can enhance recovery for patients who haven’t improved with existing options.”

The AI Drones Used In Gaza Now Surveilling American Cities

AI-powered quadcopter drones used by the IDF to commit genocide in Gaza are flying over American cities, surveilling protestors and automatically uploading millions of images to an evidence database.

The drones are made by a company called Skydio which in the last few years has gone from relative obscurity to quietly become a multi-billion dollar company and the largest drone manufacturer in the US.

The extent of Skydio drone usage across the US, and the extent to which their usage has grown in just a few years, is extraordinary. The company has contracts with more than 800 law enforcement and security agencies across the country, up from 320 in March last year, and their drones are being launched hundreds of times a day to monitor people in towns and cities across the country.

Skydio has extensive links with Israel. In the first weeks of the genocide the California-based company sent more than one hundred drones to the IDF with promises of more to come. How many more were delivered since that admission is unknown. Skydio has an office in Israel and partners with DefenceSync, a local military drone contractor operating as the middle man between drone manufacturers and the IDF. Skydio has also raised hundreds of millions of dollars from Israeli-American venture capitalists and from venture capital funds with extensive investments in Israel, including from Marc Andreessen's firm Andreessen Horowitz, or a16z.

And now these drones, tested in genocide and refined on Palestinians, are swarming American cities.

According to my research almost every large American city has signed a contract with Skydio in the last 18 months, including Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Diego, Cleveland and Jacksonville. Skydio drones were recently used by city police departments to gather information at the 'No Kings' protests and were also used by Yale to spy on the anti-genocide protest camp set up by students at the university last year.

India and Israel sign defense deal

India, Israel sign MoU to deepen defence cooperation

The MoU will facilitate collaboration across multiple domains, including strategic dialogues, training, defence industrial cooperation, research and development, AI, cyber security, and technological innovation

India and Israel have taken a significant step forward in strengthening their long-standing defence partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Defence Cooperation during the 17th Joint Working Group meeting held in Tel Aviv on Tuesday (November 4, 2025).

The meeting was co-chaired by Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and the Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Defence Major General (Res) Amir Baram.

While the statement did not provide details of any deals, the Jerusalem Post reported that India would acquire rockets for its ground forces and medium-range surface-to-air missile defense systems developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) for around $3.75 billion. IAI would also convert six commercial planes into Indian Air Force refueling aircraft for $900 million, the report noted.

The signing of the agreement coincided with the visit of Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar to New Delhi on Tuesday.

During his meeting with his Indian counterpart, S. Jaishankar, Sa’ar hailed India as a “global superpower.” He also said the partnership between India and Israel has reached an all-time high, driven by increasing alignment in strategic and technological cooperation.

“India and Israel have a strategic partnership and particularly in our case, that term has a real meaning. We have stood together in testing times. And we have created a relationship with a high degree of trust and reliability,” Jaishankar said.

According to 2025 SIPRI data, India was the largest importer of Israeli arms, accounting for 34% or $2.9 billion worth of military equipment, including radars, drones, and missiles. However, when considering India’s overall arms imports, Russia was the largest supplier, making up 36% of the total.

Jaishankar expressed India’s backing for a peace plan aimed at ending the Gaza conflict, which was proposed by US President Donald Trump last month in Egypt’s Sharm-el-Sheikh. The Indian official conveyed hope that it would lead to a lasting solution.

Oregon declines criminal investigation into those who illegally voted

At least 1,863 individuals were unlawfully registered to vote under the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) voter registration system.

Oregon election officials announced that they will not pursue criminal investigations against the dozens of non-citizens who illegally cast ballots in elections in recent years after they were unlawfully registered to vote due to a DMV clerical error.

According to a statement from the Oregon Secretary of State, the decision rests on the fact that the non-citizens allegedly did not knowingly violate election laws or were either eligible to vote at the time they did. "The Secretary of State's Office will not refer anyone for criminal prosecution because the DMV mistakenly registered them to vote," the statement reads. "A clerical error at DMV caused these mistaken registrations, not the unlawful actions of any of the people registered."

This comes after a last year investigation revealed that at least 1,863 individuals were unlawfully registered to vote under the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) voter registration system. Hundreds of those individuals were determined to be non-citizens. Oregon law allows anyone to obtain a driver's license despite immigration status. The error occurred when DMV staff mistakenly selected “US passport” or “US birth certificate” while entering documentation data for individuals applying for driver’s licenses. This error led to non-citizens being added to the voter registration system.

39 of the 1,863 individuals who were unlawfully registered, many of whom were noncitizens, had cast ballots in elections in recent years, the Oregonian reported. Election authorities argued that the number of people who voted illegally did not affect the outcome of an election, giving them another excuse to avoid inquiries.

At least three individuals were referred to the Oregon Department of Justice (DOJ) for a criminal probe due to the Secretary of State’s Office stating that they had not responded to their inquiry about voting history. However, the state DOJ decided not to proceed with the investigations.

Department of Justice administrator, Jeffrey Howes, wrote in a September letter issued to Deputy Secretary of State Michael Kaplan that it would be difficult to prove that any of the individuals knowingly violated the law. Each case “presents complex proof challenges to reach the standard necessary for a criminal conviction,” Howes said, according to the letter obtained by Oregon Capital Chronicle.

The US Department of Justice has not yet issued a public statement regarding the termination of the criminal investigations. The Post Millennial reached out for comment.

Judge Rips DOJ Prosecutors, Gives Comey Another Win in Federal Criminal Case

A magistrate judge on Wednesday ripped DOJ prosecutors and accused them of a slap dahs indictment against James Comey.

A grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia indicted former FBI Director James Comey in September. He was indicted on two counts – false statements and obstruction of a congressional proceeding.

Comey’s false statements charge is related to his September 2020 Senate testimony on whether he authorized leaks to the media.

In 2020, James Comey lied when he told congressional investigators that he never gave anyone permission to anonymously leak information about Hillary Clinton’s email investigation to the media.

However, evidence presented by prosecutors proves Comey gave his friend-turned-lawyer Daniel Richman permission to leak to The New York Times – and cheered it on.

The Justice Department also has other materials related to Comey’s case “on a desk” at the FBI headquarters. Comey’s lawyers accused the DOJ of withholding evidence in violation of the Constitution.

Magistrate Judge William Fitzpatrick scolded prosecutors for their handling of the case and said they quickly moved to “indict first, investigate second.”

Fitzpatrick also ordered the Justice Department to turn over all grand jury materials to Comey’s attorneys by Thursday.

Comey’s attorneys are arguing that some of the documents used in the indictment may be privileged.

A federal judge on Wednesday criticized the Justice Department’s prosecution of former FBI Director James Comey, saying he was concerned by the department’s “highly unusual” handling of the case by moving to “indict first, investigate second.”

Magistrate Judge William Fitzpatrick in Alexandria, Virginia, also ordered the Justice Department to turn over all grand jury evidence and other materials to Comey’s legal team by close of business Thursday, underlining his apparent criticism of federal prosecutors’s actions in the case.

The evidence at issue Wednesday is troves of data that the Justice Department gathered between 2019 and 2020 in a past Justice Department investigation during the first Trump administration known as “Arctic Haze.”

The investigation, detailed in a memo declassified by the bureau earlier this year, sought to figure out how classified details on the FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server made their way into a 2017 New York Times article, which looked at Comey’s decision-making while leading the politically fraught probe. No one was charged in the investigation.

One of Comey’s attorneys, Rebekah Donaleski, said there are four different warrants that were executed on Richman in the “Arctic Haze” investigation that she knows of and evidence returned from those seizures could be used as part of the Justice Department’s case against Comey. She said nobody on Comey’s legal team has been given access to that information yet, and they have not been able to screen that data, which includes hard drives and phone and email records, for potentially privileged information that could have been used in the indictment.

34 Illegal Immigrant Truck Drivers Arrested In Oklahoma: ICE

A two-day operation led to the arrest of 70 illegal immigrants in Oklahoma, which included 34 drivers operating a semi-truck or a commercial vehicle, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said in a Nov. 4 statement.

The arrests were made in partnership with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol between Oct. 28 and 29, said the agency. It is part of Operation Guardian, which has “resulted in the arrest of many illegal aliens driving trucks that had been issued Commercial Drivers Licenses in states with sanctuary policies such as California, Illinois, and New York,” the agency said.

In places that follow sanctuary policies, local officials refuse to enforce immigration laws or comply with federal authorities.

Out of the 34 illegal immigrant truck drivers, 26 were issued a commercial driver’s license (CDL) while eight were “dangerously driving” vehicles without such licenses, ICE said.

The illegal immigrants are from 15 different nations, including China, Mexico, Turkey, Colombia, India, Guatemala, and Venezuela.

As The Epoch Times' Naveen Athrappully details below, ICE said illegal immigrants who operate vehicles without proper authorization pose a threat to public safety and undermine the rule of law. The operation sends a “clear message” that such activities won’t be tolerated, it said.

Operation Guardian is a deportation initiative implemented in February and led by Oklahoma’s Commissioner of Public Safety Tim Tipton. Oklahoma aims to use existing state and federal regulations to transfer offending illegal immigrants for deportation proceedings.

“Operation Guardian continues to successfully keep Oklahomans safe,” said Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt.

“To lawfully operate a commercial motor vehicle in Oklahoma, you must be here legally, and you must be able to understand English. These are common-sense standards that we will continue to enforce.”

On April 28, President Donald Trump signed an executive order requiring that all commercial vehicle operators in the country be proficient in English.

“There’s a lot of communication problems between truckers on the road,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said at the time. “We’re going to ensure that our truckers, who are the backbone of our economy, are all able to speak English.”
