When EBT funds get below a $30 threshold, that store would deny my card yet a grocer another mile or two away never gave that problem once. This has happened several times to me over the years with them. And when funds are that low, I always go to pick a few small things, like milk, eggs, or beans. Now I realize why they do this. They do it because, my wife just told me, that if you do not spend your full amount, it doesn't roll over to the next month. The amount of harassment that we get is actually a crime against humanity and pure treason. Last week, I reported that my bank changed our phone number for no apparent reason which locked our debit card. They used this very tactic, so that is actually 3 times this month. A desk employee at the bank decided to protect her manager by telling me to get off their phone as I called my wife to give further instructions on how to deal with the back office number on the back of the card. This lady starts ordering me around very rudely, talked over me without letting get one word in, an antifa tactic, and when I talked over her to get my point across, she claimed to feel threatened and said she was going to call a cop, at the same time, one of their crony pretend customers, interjected too and did the same exact thing, call me vile names, threatening that someone should kick my ass, and said he was going to call the cops too. I told him, you have no idea of what your talking about, I am not an asshole, your free to try or call the cops, and that someone here changed my phone number that locked out my account, so do what you have to do pal. It is a tactic, and it seems they are trying to make look bad and have so many complaints because they know the cops will kill me. The real sad part, is that I had to bring my wife into the bank on a cold damp day, when you feel your cyanide poisonings. She needs to carry a bag weighing about 20 pounds for stability as a result, so it was torture for her to walk that far. We are under siege, and have been for a very very very long time, and it just seems, that no one is going to help us. Just gripes on an anonymous board, and more comms. Coffee is an essential, and I agree with what you said, but Total is a notorious cereal and cost $8 dollars here, and yes the processed sugar coated crap cereals are still $6. A pound of cold cuts turkey or roast beef is $20 here. A chicken here is $11 -$12, chop is cheap meat and not very good for you but a lunch meat. We have raw veggies and beans and tuna almost daily. What you fail to understand, is these aren't the only things you buy at a store, condiments are through the roof, oils, soups, mayo, and just about all the supporting ingredients are way over priced.
