Did anyone catch this medical emergency at the WH today, who is Gordon?
More info:
A medical emergency occurred at the White House on November 6, 2025, during an Oval Office event where President Donald Trump announced a deal with pharmaceutical companies Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk to lower the cost of obesity drugs to around $150 per month.
A man, initially identified as Novo Nordisk executive Gordon Findlay, fainted during the announcement, prompting Dr. Mehmet Oz and White House medical staff to intervene.
However, Novo Nordisk later clarified that Findlay was not present at the event, and the man’s identity remains officially unconfirmed.
The incident happened while Eli Lilly CEO David Ricks was speaking, and he was heard asking, “Gordon, you okay?” as the man began to collapse.
Video footage showed the man falling to his knees before being lowered to the ground, with Dr. Oz helping to elevate his legs.
The White House Press Pool was quickly ushered out, and the press conference was briefly paused before resuming at approximately 1:29 p.m. EST.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that “a representative with one of the companies fainted” and confirmed the individual was receiving care and was “okay”.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., serving as Health Secretary, left the room to seek medical assistance, according to Deputy Press Secretary Kush Desai.
Despite initial reports naming the man as Gordon Findlay, both Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly issued statements clarifying that their executives present were CEO Mike Doustdar and EVP Dave Moore, and they did not confirm the identity of the individual who collapsed.
