Maybe you do:
-If you are a first time homebuyer;
-If your income is lower than others and you need to stretch out your payments to accomodate;
-If the interest rate is so low, that the mortgage lower payment allows you to live life comfortably and do other things;
-If you want to gift your family homestead to your kids without a huge tax on the transfer.
Trump may have a plan for interest rates once the Fed fails/is removed. This could open up great opportunities for new home buyers, young or old. Each buyer is unique and should be able to dictate (somewhat) the terms that they are looking for (50 year, vs 30 year vs something less)
It's a great opportunity for some.
