That question can easily be answered by answering the following question:
Can you legally vote in a precinct after closing hours?
If Election Day ends at 7PM (or whatever time in your area) when the polls close, then the polls are closed.
Period.
All votes must be inhouse, counted and completed by the time the polls close in your precinct. It's not like the ballots are mailed to you 15 mins before the polls close. You had ample time to get them in.
