My parents are who you describe, but they've never voted in my life. They know little to nothing about politics, law, or economics. They're not liberal, but my mother would rather watch American Idol than discuss anything regarding MAGA. Many people don't understand and/or don't care to understand stuff like FISA warrants. I think even if pedo stuff dropped, they'd think it was all made up. Many working class people clearly aren't losers with drinking and debt problems, but they're usually not wise and complex either. I've heard conservative business owners and working class guys alike rail against the MSM and then declare that the First Amendment is garbage and should be trashed.

I'm in my 30's with my own family and professional career, I know retired NYers who are about the same. They're not liberal either, but they aren't pro-Trump, and they certainly don't understand MAGA. It's going to take more than FISA warrants to change people's minds, and maybe some will never care or understand.

They don't know who Podesta is. I would explain more, but it doesn't really matter. I've talked to them my whole lives about tons of things. I think a lot of it has to do with personality types originally theorized by Carl Jung. A modern take on it is the MBTI, which you probably have heard. Look up ISFJ personality, the most common of the 16 types in the population, and you'll see that many people don't like change. They resist it. They can't stand having abstract discussions or any conflict, whether real or in their minds.

Oh, I did show them footage of shooting crisis actors in different situations. This way they could see with video evidence right before them. I could tell it made an impact, but they still thought it was probably fake footage.
