Doctor Explains Why Obama’s Affordable Care Act Was the Biggest Shakedown In US History

President Trump has proposed giving money directly to the people to choose their own healthcare plans instead of continuing Obamacare Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies that are paid directly to insurance companies. Note that the Democrats were demanding subsidized healthcare for illegal aliens.

A doctor with over 40 years of experience explained that healthcare became inflated because Obamacare put a cap on profit ratios, not profits. If an insurer spent more, there would be a higher profit, so they charged more each year.

A second way that insurers became enriched was through ‘vertical integration’ that involves buying related companies such as pharmacies, physician services, physician groups, etc. to make it appear as a loss on paper while charging high prices.

Jonathan Gruber—the architect of Obamacare—stated that the American public was stupid and that a lack of transparency was required to get anything passed.

The Patients Deserve Price Tags Act (S. 2355) is designed to create transparency for medical care costs that will drive costs down. Catastrophic insurance, without the essential benefits that were mandated with the Affordable Care Act, was outlawed when Obamacare was passed.

Congressman Dr. Greg Murphy Explains that $400 BILLION Goes Straight to Insurance Companies

According to Congressman Dr. Greg Murphy, taxpayers are on the hook for more than $400 billion through expanded subsidies under an emergency or temporary basis tied to the Affordable Care Act that was authorized during COVID. It is intended to expire on December 31, 2025. Premiums have increased a whopping 75% since 2019. He said that one-third of spending goes to six-figure households, and 90% of enrollees will still get subsidies if the expanded subsidies are allowed to expire.

The expanded subsidies only affects a small number of people on the exchange as the 170 million Americans already covered by their company plans and the 70 million people on Medicaid already have insurance and are out of the equation.

The number one insurance company in the US, UnitedHealth Group, a cyberattack limited 2024 net gained a profit to $14.4 billion in 2024, which was lower than preceding years due to a cyberattack. UnitedHealth Group gained $22.4 billion in 2023, $20.6 billion in 2022, $17.3 billion in 2021 and $15.4 billion in 2020.
