Just wanted to touch base, to let people know I am still alive, and I am still working. Been focused largely on internal work, as past labours are bearing fruit. May be able to cut much closer to the heart of the issue now, though it doesn't necessarily make things easier to know about it.

So there appear to be two different worlds that we live in: The world that we experience, and the real physical world. Now, because we aren't actually capable of directly interacting with the real world, we can only act based upon what is experienced. Seems simple enough, except that we have built many (if not all) of our created systems upon the assumption that the perceived world is of at least equal importance to the real world. I do not bemoan the fact that such a state of affairs has come into being, as it is frankly the logical progression of society when considering where we started. The problem emerges with the rapid proliferation of technology as newer and more powerful machines, and the novel perceptions which they provoke, continue to disrupt and displace those systems which have supported society until now.

For many years I have displayed a rather alarmist face regarding this matter, yet such reactionary thinking kept running me face first into walls. Yet the problem remains, and continually the obvious answer is that, technological issues aside, the general population must come to a place where they are capable of cooperating in earnest effort to address whatever problems we may face.

Getting everyone to that place is the bitch. Historically it has required a near total collapse. I'm not alone in hoping we can find a better way this time.
