There is no test that reads hearts.
God reads hearts; we don't
Justice here can only be based on actions - legal or illegal.
All these cop shows that insist on a "motive" have trained us all into believing that somehow if we could only discern "why" , we can then dispense justice. Or maybe prove our laws are just, or maybe not apply the law this time or that time.
