The only thing I'm assuming is that Q has a reason for the scrub request. I don't pretend to know what that reason is.

Perhaps it's a distribution-speed test. Perhaps it's a damage-control test. Perhaps the aliens have landed.
Point being, we don't know why. We can either comply with the request and wait and see … or not.
