through the "front door".

This particular R is a Dmitry Rybolovlev, the Russian billionaire.

Dmitry Rybolovlev, the Russian billionaire, sold Leonardo da Vinci's Salvator Mundi (often called "da Vinci") to Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), the Saudi Crown Prince. The sale happened at a Christie's auction in New York on November 15, 2017, for a record $450.3 million. Rybolovlev had owned it since 2013, buying it for about $127.5 million from art dealers Alexander Parrish, Robert Simon, and Philip Guston (via dealer Yves Bouvier). Prince Badr bin Abdullah Al Saud bid on MBS's behalf, but the true buyer was MBS. The painting, depicting Christ as "Savior of the World," has stayed out of public view since, possibly in storage in Geneva, with plans for a Riyadh museum.
