A competent dev will not use AI shit, because it's garbage, grabs garbage code from the internet, adds additional bugs to it and has no clue wtf it's doing.

It's literally wasting your time. You have to check everything anyway, and then clean up the shit code.

Software development is not just writing code. And "AI" isn't even doing that. It's copying code. It's about design. It's even about figuring out what is actually required. Something the "AI" can't do, and probably will never be able to do.

AI is not intelligent or smart.

It's also massive copyright infringement.

Also what happens when the shit "AI" grabs code of an GPL project and puts that into your project?

You also see it with games etc.

The less competent developers are, the worse the software is going to be.

There were so many PS2 games running perfectly and without issues on a system that had basically no RAM, no hard drive, no patches.

Compare that to nowadays, where games are often broken as fuck, require gigabytes and gigabytes of RAM, require a hard drive, often even require a SSD, because the devs can't create proper games anymore and even then it's not running properly.

Or look at Windows. The competent Windows OG devs have probably gotten too old.

In comes incompetent shit devs as well as activist "devs" who are literally destroying Windows. Adding all sorts of retarded BS, fucking up the UI, fucking up performance.

How come Windows 11 runs way slower on recent hardware, while Windows 7 FLIES on 15 year old hardware? That should not be the case.

Now let an "AI" write tons of code (it grabs shit code from shit devs and fucks it up even more) and it will get way worse.

And on top of that "AI" won't produce source code that one can maintain. That's one of the most important aspects of software development.

All "AI" is doing is acting like a shit dev.

>it can "think"

it doesn't think at all.

Even that's a lie.

>and it didn't even work.

no shit.

What's funny is that Activision is fully going the AI slop route, which will be their downfall.

Meanwhile Epic Games grabbed the competent CoD devs for Fortnite, a game that even made fun of AI slop.
