Steve Bannon appears in over 1,700 Jeffrey Epstein emails

Newly released emails from House Democrats reveal a close relationship between Steve Bannon and child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

The November 12 email dump shows over 1,700 mentions of Bannon in Epstein's correspondence, including direct exchanges between the two men. In July 2018, Epstein wrote offering to arrange meetings with European leaders if Bannon would visit. When Epstein invited him to Europe that August, Bannon replied: "Yes. But let's discuss–their is a crazed jihad against u–i've never seen anything like it–and I've seen a lot."

The Hollywood Reporter described Bannon's documentary as "seemingly designed to get Epstein ready for an image-changing sit-down interview with a news outlet like 60 Minutes, with Bannon playing the part of Mike Wallace."

Right-wing figures have turned on Bannon over the revelations. Roger Stone called him a "perjurer, bullshit artist, and backstabber," adding: "Bannon took big bucks from Epstein to rehabilitate his image!"

Epstein was arrested on sex trafficking charges one day before a scheduled July 7, 2019 breakfast with Bannon.
