@WallStreetApes

Speaker Mike Johnson now says declassifying the Jeffrey Epstein files is “incredibly dangerous” (what this also proves is the Intel agencies control Congress and Senate.they threaten them to do their bidding. Congress is not controlled from within the constitution, it’s controlled by outside threats by intel. Thats been known for years and Tulsi Gabbard has released only a small amount of crimes they commit on American soil)

He says declassifying hurts our intelligence agencies and agencies working with them. (Interpretation:?So Epstein worked with our intel agencies, he was a source for them. Revealing what Epstein did, reveals what our own government still does: honey traps.)

Good, release the files and arrest every person involved in the coverup

Ukrainian energy minister dismissed as corruption fallout expands

Parliament voted to fire Svetlana Grinchuk shortly after approving the dismissal of the justice minister

The Ukrainian parliament has voted to dismiss Energy Minister Svetlana Grinchuk, marking the second high-level ouster in a single day as the government struggles to contain a growing corruption scandal linked to a close ally of Vladimir Zelensky.

Lawmakers approved Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko’s request to fire Grinchuk on Wednesday, shortly after voting to dismiss Justice Minister German Galushchenko. Galushchenko previously served as energy minister before handing the post to his then-deputy Grinchuk during a cabinet reshuffle earlier this year. Both dismissals received unanimous approval from MPs who voted.

The officials were drawn into an alleged kickback network operating inside the state-run nuclear energy company Energoatom. Businessman Timur Mindich, a longtime associate of Zelensky, was charged last week by the Western-backed National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), which claims he and accomplices extracted at least $100 million from contractors.

The broader graft probe has implicated additional senior figures, including former Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and former Deputy Prime Minister Aleksey Chernyshov.Zelensky is also facing mountingcalls to remove his chief of staff, Andrey Yermak, whom observers and critical officials see as the political linchpinof the alleged criminal network.

Opposition parties have moved to capitalize on the turmoil, pushing for thedismissal of the entire Sviridenko cabinet and demanding the formation of a coalition-backed government.

Zelensky’s Servant of the People party, which won a commanding majority in 2019,has shown signs of internal fragmentation in recent weeks. His earlier attempt to curb NABU’s independence – a move reversed after Western backlash – and the unfolding scandal have reportedly shaken MPs’ loyalty to the Zelensky team.

(So many more of the corrupt to be reported and all who were involved. More scandals on other agencies coming. There are 100s more that knew it all and kept the secret. Maybe it won’t be Russia that destroys Ukraine, but leaders of the country will.)

Ex-Ukraine defense chief linked to corrupt arms contract – leaked document

Security Council Secretary Rustem Umerov allegedly agreed to push the Defense Ministry to accept substandard body armor

Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov was pressured to push through a corrupt arms contract by a key ally of Vladimir Zelenskycurrently at the center of a $100 million kickback scandal, leaked documents suggest.

Ukraine’s anti-corruption agency said earlier this month that Timur Mindich, a former business partner of Zelensky, and several other officials pressured contractors for the state nuclear operator, Energoatom, to hand over 10-15% of the value of contracts as kickbacks. On Tuesday, Ukrainian media published what they said was the official charging statement prepared by the Western-backed National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU).

The document cited multiple cabinet figures whom Mindich allegedly influenced, including Umerov, who now serves as secretary of the National Security and Defense Council. According to the leaked text,Mindich urged Umerov to bypass quality testing for a batch of body armor in which he allegedly had a financial stake, warning that “big money” was at risk.

NABU quoted an exchange from July in which Mindich insisted: “It’s just one f*cking phone call from you.Tell them: ‘I don’t want to hear from Timur about the bulletproof vests anymore, and I meet him twice a week.’” Umerov purportedly responded:“I hear you, I’ll call them again.”NABU has neither confirmed nor denied the authenticity of the leaked document, though an opposition lawmaker has stated it is genuine.

Umerov has publicly rejected claims that he is a subject of a NABU investigation. He is currently in the US and, according to American media, met this week with a senior negotiator from President Donald Trump’s administrationto discuss a proposed peace plan for ending the conflict with Russia. Ukrainian media claim he is refusing to return.

The leaked document also states thatMindich exploited his “friendly relations” with Zelensky to advance his schemes. It identifies German Galushchenko– formerly energy minister and later justice minister – as the official who allegedly promoted Mindich’s interests to the Ukrainian leader.Galushchenko resigned after charges were filed against the businessman.

(This is one scandal there are so many more to come, how did Z get all those multimillion dollars homes as president. Many others in government did this during the war, they were begging more money from US and Europe.)

Chaos in Ukrainian parliament as opposition pushes to fire cabinet

The bid to form a “unity government” comes amid reported unrest inside Zelensky’s own faction

Ukrainian opposition parties shut down proceedings in the Verkhovna Rada on Wednesday morning by blockading the speaker’s podium, escalating their bid to replace the cabinet with a coalition government.

The disruption was the second in as many days and was led by the faction of former President Pyotr Poroshenko. He and fellow opposition party leader Yulia Timoshenko were stalling a vote to dismiss two ministers tied to a sweeping corruption investigation, insisting that Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko must first deliver a report to parliament.

Later during the session,MPs voted to fire Justice Minister German Galushchenko, previously energy minister, and his successor, Svetlana Grinchuk, who have been linked to businessman Timur Mindich. The long-time associate of Vladimir Zelensky was charged by the Western-backed National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) over an alleged $100 million kickback scheme at state-owned nuclear operator Energoatom.

“=•We have to admit that monopoly on power caused all this… a virtual monopoly on all decisions and control==,” Timoshenko said, urging the formation of a “coalition government of unity”to prevent further national decline.

Poroshenko’s European Solidarity and Timoshenko’s Motherland =parties have joined forces to demand a full cabinet dismissal. They argue that they can gather the necessary 150 signatures== by rallying members of other factions and gain the support of some MPs from Zelensky’s Servant of the People party, which won an outright majority in 2019.

Attendance in the Rada has been dwindling during the conflict with Russia, andZelensky’s faction has increasingly struggled to pass legislation. Media reports suggest thatopen rebellion is brewingwithin the party ranks in the wake of the Mindich case.

Mindich was charged by the same agency that Zelensky attempted to strip of independence earlier this year, prompting sharp backlash from Western donors. The Ukrainian leader subsequently disavowed responsibility, blaming MPs who approved the legislation.

According toRBK Ukraine, discontented lawmakers feel they are being made scapegoats and accuse Zelensky’s team of violating the informal ‘contract within the elites’ – that the faction would back decisions handed downfrom above, and in return, those in power would keep their own conduct in check.

Every fucking person in the RADA knew exactly what was going on, and they only rebelled when just a few were exposed; there’s a lot more to come.

US secretly drafting new Ukraine peace plan with Russian input – Axios

“The timing is good” for the new proposal, Washington reportedly believes

The US is secretly working on a new proposal to end the Ukraine conflict, Axios reported on Tuesday. The draft was reportedly prepared in close consultation with Moscow and has already been floated to Kiev and its European backers.

According to the outlet, the 28-point document draws on principles discussed by US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin at their meeting in Alaska in August. Senior Russian negotiator Kirill Dmitriev told Axios that he spent three days reviewing the idea with Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff during his late-October visit to the US.

“We think the timing is good for this plan now,” a US official familiar with the matter told Axios. “But both parties need to be practical and realistic.”

Commenting on the report on Wednesday, Kremlin spokesmanDmitry Peskov said so far there has been “nothing new” in the US-Russia discussions compared to what was said in Alaska.

Witkoff reportedly reviewed the draft document this week with Rustem Umerov, the secretary of Ukraine’s National Securityand Defense Council.

Umerov left Ukraine amid a widening corruption scandal involving Timur Mindich, a longtime associate of Vladimir Zelensky who has been charged with running a kickback scheme involving a state-run nuclear power company.Ukrainian media have claimed that Umerov, whose family resides in the US, has refused to return to Kiev following reports that he was influenced by Mindich during his tenure as defense minister.

Witkoff is expected to meet Zelensky in Türkiye on Wednesday. According to The Economist’s Oliver Carroll, the US envoy canceled a planned meeting with Zelensky’s chief of staff, Andrey Yermak, after realizing the political pressure Zelensky faces to dismiss him, as Yermak is widely suspected of involvement in the Mindich network.

“Witkoff might not have been aware of the scandal he was walking into when agreeing the meeting,”Carroll wrote on X.

Moscow has insisted that any lasting settlement to the Ukraine conflict must address its fundamental security demands.Dmitriev told Axios he was cautiously optimistic about the new US proposal, saying “we feel the Russian position is really being heard.”

Woman taped to bench in Ukraine in public punishment (VIDEO)

The incident reportedly took place in Odessa, with witnesses saying the restrained individual had been scattering trash in a residential courtyard

A woman was found restrained in the Ukrainian city of Odessa after an unidentified man taped her to a bench in what appeared to be an act of public punishment, local news agency UNN reported on Tuesday, citing regional police.

Video circulating on social media shows the restrained woman lying on the bench on her belly, with her small dog standing nearby, occasionally licking her face,as people walk past and some bystanders film the scene. Scattered trash from a torn refuse bag lies on the ground next to her.

Police told the outlet they had received a call about a person allegedly scattering trash, confronting passers-by and threatening to break windows. When a patrol arrived, the individual was already restrained, the officers said.

The woman reportedly did not require medical treatment and was taken to a local station. She apologized for her behavior and chose not to file a complaint about the restraint. Officers are now working to identify the man involved.

Reports of public punishments have repeatedly surfaced in Ukraine in recent years, with radicals targeting foreigners and minoritiesand multiple photos showing people tied to lamp posts and sprayed with green antiseptic dye. Human rights groups have been raising concerns over such practices in light of Kiev’s EU membership ambitions.

Vladimir Zelensky applied for Ukraine’s immediate EU membership shortly after the escalation of the conflict with Russia in February 2022. Later that year, Ukraine was granted EU candidate status. At the time, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo signaled that providing Ukraine with EU-candidate status was a “symbolic message” of support for Kiev, while noting that actual membership remains “many years” away and depends on Ukraine meeting the bloc’s standards.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has argued that Ukraine’s accession to the EU would undermine the bloc and could ultimately lead to its collapse.

=According to a 2024 European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) report, Ukraine is among the countries with the highest number of lawsuits lodged against it at the court.

Don’t ‘blindly’ trust AI – Google boss

Artificial Intelligence models are “prone to some errors” and should be used alongside other tools, Sundar Pichai has told the BBC

Artificial intelligence engines remain vulnerable in terms of factual accuracy and should not be blindly trusted, the CEO of Google and its parent company Alphabet, Sundar Pichai, has warned.

In an interview with the BBC aired on Tuesday, Pichai urged users to rely on a broad range of search tools rather than depending solely on AI.

AI tools are helpful “if you want to creatively write something,”but users “have to learn to use these tools for what they’re good at, and not blindly trust everything they say,” he said. “The current state-of-the-art AI technology is prone to some errors.”

This comes as Google prepares to unveil its next major AI model, Gemini 3.0. Pichai has said the new AI assistant is expected to be released by the end of the year.

Launched in 2023, Gemini received criticism for its restrictive ‘safety’ and ‘diversity’ settings, which produced glaring inaccuracies in its image-generation outputs. The model was widely ridiculed for misrepresenting historical figures ranging from America’s founding fathers and Russian emperors to Catholic popes and even Nazi German soldiers.

Earlier this month, Google was accused of secretly enabling Gemini to collect user data without consent. A lawsuit filed in a California federal court claimed the company allowed the AI assistant to illegally intercept and monitor private communications across Gmail, chat, and video-conferencing services.

The rapid rise of AI technologies has driven up valuations across the sector, prompting warnings in Silicon Valley and beyond of a potential bubble as companies spend heavily to secure a foothold in the booming industry. The tech giants have been racing to keep pace with services such as ChatGPT, which have challenged Google’s dominance in online search and accelerated investment across the field.

Spending on AI among major tech companies is estimated at around $400 billion a year.

Asked whether Google would be immune if an AI bubble were to burst, Pichai replied: “I think no company is going to be immune, including us.”

EU ‘ignoring reality’ in Ukraine – Moscow(they all knew it, that didn’t care. They do the same in the EU)

Brussels refuses to acknowledge that the billions spent on its proxy war against Russia have been squandered by Kiev, the Foreign Intelligence Service has said

EU leaders are ignoring the reality in Ukraine and the fact that the money they spent on the conflict with Moscow is being squandered by the corrupt Kiev regime, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has said.

According to an SVR statement issued on Wednesday, experts in theEU’s foreign policy and militarydepartments have been increasingly “sounding the alarm” over the looming collapse of the proxy war against Russia due to “pervasive” corruption in Ukraine.

“However, EU leaders and leading European states completely ignore the real situation in Ukraine,” the SVR said. “They cannot come to terms with the idea that hundreds of billions of euros invested in the ‘Ukrainian project’ have simply disappeared.”

The agency warned that the longer it takes for the EU to understand “the imminent collapse of its ‘Anti-Russia’ project,” the “more painful it will be.”

Ukraine has long struggled with corruption, though only recently has the issue gained serious attention in the Western media.

Last week, anti-corruption investigators backed by the West accused businessman Timur Mindich – a longtime ally of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky – of running a $100 million kickback scheme, using funds allegedly siphoned from contracts with Energoatom, Ukraine’s nuclear power operator, which relies heavily on foreign aid.

The case has implicated several current and former officials. Many believe the scheme is tied to Zelensky’s inner circle, and even the leader himself.(of course it is)

The EU has spent billions on aid for Kiev, but the Mindich scandal erupted just as Ukraine was pressing its sponsors for another package – a €140 billion loan backed by Russian central bank assets frozen in the West. Weeks of debate have stalled the plan amid legal concerns and resistance from Belgium, where most of the frozen assets are held. Russia has said it regards any use of its assets as “theft”and has vowed a legal response.

Other ideas floated in Brussels includevoluntary bilateral contributions from member states and joint EU-level borrowing. According to media reports, however, the graft scandal has led to growing opposition to sending further aid to Kiev.

Ukrainian officials embezzled millions off Russian nuclear power plant – MP

Energoatom wrote off over $4.7 million for goods and services for the Zaporozhye NPP after it came under Russian control, Vladimir Ariev claims

Officials in Kiev embezzled millions from contracts filed for the Russia-controlled Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, Ukrainian lawmaker Vladimir Ariev has claimed.

The ZNPP, Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, has been under Russian control since March 2022. Kiev has rejected Russia’s authority over the site as an “occupation.”Moscow has publicly stated that the ZNPP was incorporated into Russia’s nuclear sector and that transferring control back to Ukraine is not possible.

Ariev said more than 200 million hryvnia ($4.7 million) in goods and services were formally registered in the plant’s name months after it came under Russian control, even though Kiev had no way to deliver anything to the site. Speaking at a parliamentary commission on economic security on Monday, he claimed Ukraine’s Energoatom continued filing procurement paperwork for the plant through most of 2022 despite having no physical authority over it.

“From March 15 to August 25, 2022, Energoatom made purchases for the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.Specifically, this included 210 million hryvnia for food and canteen supplies,” he said, as cited by Zenzor.net.

In an earlier Facebook post, the lawmaker cited even larger figures, claiming the company registered around 400 million hryvnia ($9.5 million) in procurement for the plant, including a 1.2-million-hryvnia fish-feed contract filed in June 2022. Ariev described the findings as “brazen embezzlement of public funds.”

“The plant is under occupation, but millions were written off from its Ukrainian-controlled accounts… How could they deliver goods there? No way. Where did the money go then?”

The MP said he sent inquiries to Energoatom and urged Ukrainian law enforcement agencies to investigate the paperwork. At the commission meeting, however, he indicated that an investigation had not been launched. Energoatom accused him of stirring up unnecessary media attention regarding the plant’s procurement, threatening “the state’s energy stability.”

Ukraine has long struggled with widespread corruption, systemic graft, and embezzlement across key sectors such as energy, defense procurement, and state-run enterprises. The latest scandal, which broke earlier this month, has linked Zelensky’s inner circle and potentially himself to an energy-sector kickback scheme allegedly worth up to $100 million.

The House version of the Thomas Massie ‘pay attention to me bill’ telling the DOJ to release the information about Jeffrey Epstein, unless it contains material related to national security of investigations, has now passed the Senate by unanimous consent and will now head to President Trump’s desk for his signature.

Trump will sign it and the Epstein ‘shiny thing’ law will go into effect, andthe politicians will continue arguing about it and trying to attack the White House because they put the perpetual argument component intoTHE BILL:

The bill is only six pages. I suggest you read it.

As you can see from the highlighted qualifiers above, those of you who enjoy the bread and circus distractions provided by the DC UniParty apparatus, will have at least another year to follow this story. Have fun with it.

Meanwhile congress cannot find time to codify any executive orders that might save taxpayer money, secure the border, protect elections, tighten up immigration laws or expel criminal aliens….

…. But thanks to Ron DeSantis’s biggest supporter, Thomas Massie, you’ll always have Epstein.

The Telegraph in UK

Zelensky is losing touch with reality

Tue, November 18, 2025 at 1:27 PM

Over the last week Ukraine’s battered energy infrastructure has received yet another lethally effective pasting from Putin’s rockets and drones.

Volodymyr Zelensky, for his part, has been hit with an ugly corruption scandalin which some of his closest allies stand accused of war profiteering. His reaction was to travel to Paris to stand by Emmanuel Macron and sign a letter of intent to buy 100 French Rafale jets, as well as Ground Fire 300 radar and SAMP/T air-defence systems.

A few days before,Zelensky had also promised the Swedish government to buy 150 state-of-the art Gripen fighters. He also penned a deal with the Greeks to import American liquefied natural gas (LNG) to supply southwest Ukraine.

All this, on the face of it, sounds sensible enough. France has been one of Ukraine’s staunchest allies. Kyiv will doubtless need fighters for its future defence. And ending Ukraine’s dependence on cheap Russian gas has been a strategic ambition for a while now.

But there’s a fundamental problem: all these deals are just magical thinking. Kyivdoesn’t have nearly enough moneyto fill its $60bn budget black hole, let alone to buy billions in jets.Ukraine, by its own admission, is going to run out of money by Februaryunless the EU agrees to raise a €140bn loan secured against Russian assets held mostly in Belgium’s Euroclear international banking repository.

But it has no hope of ever repaying that loanunless the Kremlin is somehow compelled to pay war reparations – a vanishingly remote possibility. This week, even as Zelensky and Macron viewed a parade and signed memoranda at Paris’ Villacoublay air base, France is still signalling it is against confiscating Russian assets, fearing legal repercussions and investors pulling their money from Europe.

The timing of the Kyiv corruption scandal, just as Zelensky is desperately seeking funding and weapons, could hardly be worse. Ukraine’s Western-backed, independent anti-corruption bureau NABU has accused several members of Zelensky’s inner circle of stealing $100m by taking kickbacks from the construction of air defences for Ukraine’s vulnerable nuclear power stations.

As the country faces increasing blackouts due to Russian strikes, that kind of alleged war profiteering is especially disgusting. (Just that is disgusting?) And the fact that Zelensky attempted last July to shut down NABU’s investigations by bringing the agency under government control before street protests forced himto reverse his controversial law is not a good look.

Zelensky is haemorrhaging support at home. Loyal members of Zelensky’s own party have begun calling for the resignation of Andriy Yermak, the president’s right-hand man. Yermak had previously been chief counsel at Kvartal-95, the television production company founded by Zelensky and Timur Mindich – who stands at the centre of the NABU corruption case and who fled to Israel just hours before prosecutors raided his home. According to oppositionMPs, trust in Zelensky has fallen to 20 per cent and nationalists are calling for “traitors” in his inner circle to be “liquidated”.

Meanwhile former Zelensky supporters like prominent Ukrainianactivist and volunteer Serhii Sternenko have begun criticisingKyiv’s military and political leadership.

We are headed toward a disaster of strategic magnitude, which could lead to the loss of statehood,” warned Sternenko on Monday. “Our defence is falling apart.” The coming loss of the strategically important town of Pokrovsk and Russian advances into the far less well-fortified southern Zaporizhzhia region will be a body-blow to Ukraine’s defences. (They were never getting statehood, it was just a promise by the EU to let more Ukrainians die in the losing battle.)

Travelling around Europe signing fantasy arms dealsUkraine cannot afford is no answerto the looming political and military crisis at home. Zelensky’s behaviour is a worrying sign for all of Ukraine’s well-wishers, because it signals desperation. With the war entering its critical phase, international funds running out, desertions from Ukraine’s army running at four times the rate of last year, Russians advancing on the ground and the president’s political credibility in ruins,we should be very afraid for Ukraine’s future.(Or celebrate the failure of this shithole country!)

Bill Maher claims he doesn’t do stand-up any more because he’s afraid of being shot

Carsen Holaday

Tue, November 18, 2025 at 1:27 PM EST

Bill Maher has revealed he stopped performing stand-up comedy because he is afraid of getting shot.

The TV host, 69, spoke about his 2024 decision to quit touring on his Club Random podcast released Monday with guest Patton Oswalt. When Oswalt, 56, asked what led to him giving up life on the road, Maher replied, “A number of things. Just got tired of the travel, obviously. I miss doing it.”

He continued to speak about his concern for his own safety, saying: “Also, I feel like it was a great choice becauseI don’t want to be out there in this country in this political atmosphere. I could get shot by the left or the right. I mean, it’s just – it’s a good time to not be out there.”

The comedian, best known for his political satire and controversial takes that draw ire from Democrats and Republicans alike, alsosaid he is “tired of being twice as funny as people who were selling twice as many tickets as me.”He also said ticket sales had been down because he is on TV each week with his HBO political talk show Real Time.

Rather than face divided audiences with tensions high due to the country’s current political climate, Maher saidhe is just fine to continue sharing his comedy on his podcast and talk show.

“So I still have my show, I have this, I didn’t need it. I miss it, but that’s part of what it is,” he said.

“You know, I see some of the comedy that is popular today and some of it’s good and some of it is like, yeah, it’s just like the rap thing. I mean, I do like some rap, but like lots of new music, I get that these kids like it,” he continued.

“I don’t get it, and I’m not supposed to get it.”

Earlier this year, Maher shocked his left-leaning viewers by changing his tune on Donald Trump and suddenly praising the president.

After the shooting death of Charlie Kirkduring his public speaking event in September,Maher told viewers that debates over which political party was to blame were pointless because both sides have toxic rhetoric.

“It’s a very ugly week in America with violence of all kinds: political violence, regular violence, a lot of people talking about a civil war,” he said at the time.“I tell you, so far, the civil war is not very civil.”(but he has Patton Oswald as a guest)

Mexico president issues ferocious warning to Trump after US strikes threat

10:20 EST 18 Nov 2025,

Donald Trump's threat of US military strikes against drug cartels inside Mexico is a non-starter, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said Tuesday.

'It's not going to happen,' she said at a press conference, responding to Trump's warning that he would do 'whatever we have to do,' including strikes within the territory.

Trump on Monday told reporters in the Oval Office that he would be 'OK' with assaults on drug lords operating inside Mexico, arguing that it would be justified to stop the inflow of the deadly opioid fentanyl.

'Would I launch strikes in Mexico to stop drugs? It's OK with me. Whatever we have to do to stop drugs,' Trump said.

‘I didn't say I'm doing it, but I'd be proud to do it. Because we're going to save millions of lives by doing it.'

The questions about Mexico come after Trump mobilized the largest US fighting force in the Caribbean since the Cold War to target gangsters coming from Venezuela.

Since September, US forces have killed at least 83 people via air strikes on boats accused of ferrying drugs in international waters.

The United States has released no details to back up its claims that the people targeted in both the Caribbean and eastern Pacific in the more than 20 strikes were actually traffickers.

Trump told reporters he would not rule out troops on the ground in Venezuela, but added that he planned to talk with the country's socialist dictator Nicolas Maduro.

Asked if he would rule out a ground invasion, Trump replied: 'No, I don't rule out that, I don't rule out anything.

‘At a certain period of time, I'll be talking to [Maduro],' he added, while insisting that the tyrant 'has not been good to the United States.'

'We just have to take care of Venezuela,' Trump said. 'They dumped hundreds of thousands of people into our country from prisons.'

Hours later, Maduro said on his weekly television show that he was ready to talk 'face to face' with anyone in the United States 'who wants to talk to Venezuela.'

A contingent of US Marines is currently conducting military exercises in Trinidad and Tobago, the second such maneuvers in less than a month between Washington and the small English-speaking archipelago located about six miles from Venezuela.

But Trinidad and Tobago's leader said Monday that he would not allow the island to be used as a launching platform for an attack, nor was it ever asked to.

'The US has NEVER requested use of our territory to launch any attacks against the people of Venezuela,' said Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, a close Trump ally.

'Trinidad and Tobago will not participate in any act that could harm the Venezuelan people,' she added, emphasizing that Washington and Caracas should resolve their differences through dialogue.

Venezuela has accused Washington of seeking regime change in Caracas with its military build-up including an aircraft carrier group, warships and several stealth jets.

Washington accuses Maduro of leading a 'terrorist' drug cartel, a charge he denies.
