Dear Ford- have you looked into recruiting at the mechanics schools and departments in vocational/community colleges? A simple search seems to find them in any state you care to look.
Note they want "skilled" workers. Here comes the cry for importing foreign workers. Were those workers "skilled" when you gave them our jobs overseas? Institute on the job training programs and apprenticeships for mechanic grads. Please note you can't have those programs be effective with the current, social sciences grad in HR who prioritizes DEI and WOKE above merit.
I'm assuming though, that isn't what the problem really is, even with the wages quoted. Because an imported worker would do it for less therefore, increasing profit margins.
