Tatiana Schlossberg has terminal cancer

The daughter of Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg revealed the news in an essay published by The New Yorker on Nov. 22

Schlossberg was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, and doctors told her she has less than a year to live

Tatiana Schlossberg has terminal cancer.

The 35-year-old daughter of Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg revealed in an essay published by The New Yorkeron Saturday, Nov. 22, that she has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.

Schlssberg said that she learned she had the disease after giving birth to her second baby in May 2024, after her doctor noticed an imbalance in her white blood cell count.

“A few hours later, my doctor noticed that my blood count looked strange. A normal white-blood-cell count is around four to eleven thousand cells per microliter. Mine was a hundred and thirty-one thousand cells per microliter,” she wrote.

“It could just be something related to pregnancy and delivery, the doctor said, or it could be leukemia,” she further recalled, adding that she waseventually diagnosed with “a rare mutation called Inversion 3.”

Writing about her treatment options, Schlossberg said,"I could not be cured by a standard course."

Adding that she was initially told she would need months of chemotherapy and a bone-marrow transplant, she continued, “I did not — could not — believe that they were talking about me.I had swum a mile in the pool the day before, nine months pregnant. I wasn’t sick. I didn’t feel sick. I was actually one of the healthiest people I knew."

"I had a son whom I loved more than anything and a newborn I needed to take care of," Schlossberg then said. (She and husband George Moran, who tied the knotin 2017, share a 3-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter.)

Schlossberg eventually spent five weeks at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital after giving birth to her daughter. She was then transferred to Memorial Sloan Kettering for a bone-marrow transplant, and she underwent chemotherapy at home.

In January, Schlossberg joined a clinical trial of CAR-T-cell therapy, a type of immunotherapy against certain blood cancers. She was eventually told by her doctor that she had a year left to live.

Schlossberg praised her husband for his support throughout the ordeal in her essay. “George did everything for me that he possibly could. He talked to all the doctors and insurance people that I didn’t want to talk to; he slept on the floor of the hospital," she said.

“My parents and my brother and sister, too, have been raising my children and sitting in my various hospital rooms almost every day for the last year and a half,” continued Schlossberg. “They have held my hand unflinchingly while I have suffered, trying not to show their pain and sadness in order to protect me from it. This has been a great gift, even though I feel their pain every day.”

"For my whole life, I have tried to be good, to be a good student and a good sister and a good daughter, and to protect my mother and never make her upset or angry," she added. (Schlossberg's siblings include sister Rose Schlossbergand brother Jack Schlossberg.)

"Now I have added a new tragedy to her life, to our family’s life, and there’s nothing I can do to stop it,"said the mom of two.

As for her own family, Schlossberg wrote,"Mostly, I try to live and be with them now. But being in the present is harder than it sounds, so I let the memories come and go."

Americans Show Consensus on Many Democracy-Related Matters

BY JEFFREY M. JONES AND ELLYN MAESE

Story Highlights

Eight in 10 endorse compromise; 83% reject political violence

84% say U.S. benefits from having a mix of cultures

Public split on whether cultural change is happening too fast

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Eight in 10 U.S. adults agree on a variety of issues that reflect core aspects of U.S. democracy. These include that using violence to achieve political goals is never OK;that elected leaders should compromise to get things done; and that having a mix of races, religions and cultures benefits the nation.Americans also express a desire to limit the political influence of wealthy individuals and businesses and believe there is a difference between facts and opinions.

These findings are the first from the Kettering Foundation/Gallup Democracy for All Project and are based on a multimodal (web and mail) survey of over 20,000 U.S. adults, conducted July 7 to Aug. 25.This is a five-year project designed to measure Americans’ views of how well democracy serves the U.S. and Americans from a variety of different backgrounds. The full reportdetails how Americans largely agree that democracy is the best form of government but do not believe it is functioning well right now.

As part of the survey, Americans were shown five pairs of contrasting perspectives on how democracy and U.S. society should function and were asked to choose which perspective comes closer to their view.Large majorities of all key subgroups of Americans reject violence, favor compromise and embrace a multicultural society.

There are modest differences in some of these views by party, age and education. For example, Democrats, independents and college graduates are somewhat more likely than Republicans and non-college graduates to see multiculturalism as a strength. Older Americans and Democrats are more likely than younger Americans and Republicans to endorse compromise. Age differences are even more pronounced when it comes to rejecting the use of political violence, with senior citizens most opposed and young adults the least. This relationship will be explored in more depth in an article to be released next week.

Another question in the survey, asked on a five-point agree/disagree scale, finds that eight in 10 Americans strongly agree (39%) or agree (41%) that everyone, regardless of their views, has the right to free, nonviolent expression. Just 5% disagree, and 15% are neutral.

Americans Evenly Split on Pace of Cultural Change

While Americans embrace the idea of a multicultural society, there is a decided lack of consensus over the pace of cultural change. Forty-nine percent believe cultural changes in the U.S. over the past 25 years have happened too fast, while an equal share say those changes have occurred at a reasonable pace.

Close to two-thirds of Republicans (64%) think cultural changes have happened too fast, while the same proportion of Democrats hold the opposing view. But all other subgroups, including political independents and U.S. immigrants themselves, are more evenly divided on the question.

2/2

The 84% of Americans who view multiculturalism as a strength divide about evenly as to whether cultural change is happening too fast or at a reasonable pace.Overall, 45% of Americans view multiculturalism as a strength and are comfortable with the speed of change, while 39% see it as a strength but believe change is occurring too fast. More Democrats fall into the former group and more Republicans into the latter.

Responsibility for Meeting Basic Needs Also Divides Americans

Americans also divide about evenly when asked whether the government (48%) or people themselves (50%) should be responsible for making sure people’s basic needs are met. The divisions mainly reflect partisan differences, as 72% of Republicans say people should meet their own needs, while 69% of Democrats say the government is responsible for making sure individuals’ needs are met.

Younger and older adults also tend to disagree on this matter, with 63% of younger adults, those aged 18 to 29, seeing the government as responsible for meeting people’s basic needs, while just under 60% of those aged 50 and older say individuals are responsible.

Adults in lower-income households are more inclined than those with higher incomes to see the government as being responsible for meeting basic needs.

The age differences on this question are seen in all party groups. Younger Democrats, independents and Republicans are more likely than their older counterparts to believe the government should make sure people’s basic needs are met.

Two other items asked on a five-point agree/disagree scale also show close divisions between agreement, disagreement and a neutral position. These include whether people holding radical views should be prevented from running for office(33% agree, 27% neutral, 38% disagree) and whether laws should be created based on what is best for the majority of people, even if it negatively impacts minority groups (37% agree, 31% neutral, 32% disagree).

Bottom Line

The Kettering Foundation/Gallup Democracy for All Project’s inaugural survey reveals a strong foundation of shared democratic values among Americans at a time when many see the nation as starkly divided. There is broad support for the democratic ideals of nonviolence, compromise, multiculturalism and freedom of expression — key principles that underpin free, democratic and civil societies.

Yet, the data also reveal discord over how democracy should function, including how much power the majority should have, tolerance of radical voices in politics and the pace of cultural change. People’s political orientation, age, education and, in some cases, income are associated with deep societal divides over how to become a better union.

Russia to emerge ‘absolute winner’ in Ukraine conflict – EU country’s PM

European war hawks are to blame for the situation Kiev ended up in, Slovakia’s Robert Fico has said

Russia is bound to emerge the “absolute winner”in the Ukraine conflict should US President Donald Trump’s peace plan be adopted, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has said.

The US presented Ukraine with its latest draft plan to end hostilities with Russia this week. According to media reports, the 28-point documentincludes many provisions consistently refused by Kiev and its Western European backers in the past, including Ukraine giving up on joining NATO, downsizing of the country’s military, and the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from the parts of Russia’s Donbass it still controls.

At press conference in Bratislava on Friday,Fico proclaimed support for the proposed deal, describing it as a “sensational” plan. He lashed out at Kiev’s supporters in the EU, arguing that it was the “zero” foreign policy of the bloc that brought Ukraine to its current position.

In this agreement, the position of Ukraine is a hundred times worse than it was in April 2022,”Fico stated, referring to the preliminary deal reached during the Istanbul talks early in the conflict.Kiev unilaterally walked away from those negotiations.

Who among those war hawks will acknowledge it in the EU, when they supported the war so much? When were they sending those weapons there so relentlessly? When were they forbidding any truce?Who today will admit their mistakes?” Fico added.

While the plans to destroy Russia have evidently failed, Moscow is bound to emerge victorious from the hostilities, he declared.

“If this plan is signed, Russia will emerge from this war as an absolute winner. And Russia will emerge from this war, of course, extraordinarily strengthened, both morally and economically,”he asserted.

The proposed plan is reportedly being viewed by Kiev’s Western European backers as a Ukrainian “capitulation.”Pro-war EU leaders are now said to be scrambling to rewrite the draft under the guise of making “constructive updates” to it.

Moscow has confirmed it received the American plan, stressing that the proposal has not yet been discussed “in detail.” It could become “the basis of a final peace settlement,” Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.

Macron rejects proposal to reinstate G8 format with Russia

French President noted that conditions for Russia’s return to G8 are not in place

(The little Toad Macron should be expecting a phone call from President Trump! Macron lied and dragged Russia into the Ukraine war.)

PARIS, November 22. /TASS/. French President Emmanuel Macron told reporters on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Johannesburg that he opposed the return to the Group of Eight (G8) format of cooperation with Russia.

"Today, conditions for Russia’s return to G8 are not in place. Apart from that, this format requires consensus from all its participants," he said, adding that his country will not "tell others what they should do" when France assumes the rotating presidency in the Group of Seven (G7).

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that Russia would be re-invited to the Group of Eight (G8),and sanctions will be lifted from it if Moscow adopts the American plan for Ukrainian settlement. In line with the deal, anti-Russian sanctions will be lifted on an individual basis.Washington and Moscow will commit to cooperate in artificial intelligence, energy and rare earth metals mining in the Arctic.

Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the media that Moscow has not yet received the 28-point US plan on Ukrainian settlement via official channels, and Washington has not discussed it with Moscow in details. In turn, the Russian foreign ministry’s official spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, said Moscow will respond once it officially receives it.(I find it interesting that Russia says they were not involved the 28 point plan.)

Russia giving Kiev another chance to end conflict, ball is in its court — Russian MP

The situation on the battlefield apparently is not at Ukraine’s advantage, noted Leonid Slutsky

MOSCOW, November 21. /TASS/. Moscow is giving Kiev a chance to stop the bloodshed and end the conflict and it is up to Ukraine to take it or not, a senior Russian lawmaker said.

"Moscow is giving another chance to end the conflict and halt the bloodshed. But, as they say, the ball is in Ukraine’s court. The Russian army is liberating Donbass step by step. The situation on the battlefield apparently is not at Ukraine’s advantage. And this is a more than convincing argument," Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the international committee of the Russian State Duma, or lower house of parliament, and leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), told TASS.

At the same time, he noted that European leaders from the war party are apparently set to continue "putting spokes in the wheel" of the settlement process. "The European establishment islargely vexed that the Banderite narratives are a thing of the past and attempts to bargain a seat at the negotiating tablefor the Old World are failing," Slutsky explained.

He noted that, according to the Bild newspaper,Germany "is leading Europe’s efforts" to counter the United States’ peace plan. In this context, he pointed out that French President Emmanuel Macron is seeking to "compete" with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. "Only one conclusion can be made: European capitals don’t want peace in Ukraine and are going to torpedo [US President Donald] Trump’s initiatives by offering various formats of a conditional Minsk-3 to buy time to rearm the corrupt Banderite regime," he added.

During a meeting with members of the Russian Security Council earlier in the day, President Vladimir Putin said that Russia is ready for talks and the United States’ 28-point peace plan can be used as a groundwork for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine.Nevertheless, the Russian side is satisfied with the progress on the battlefield and if Kiev rejects the plan, Russian will achieve the goals of its special military operation by military means, he added.

Under the US peace plan, details of which were leaked to the Western media, the United States and other countries would recognize Russia’s sovereignty over Crimea, Donbass and other territories Ukraine will have to cede. In exchange, Kiev will be granted security guarantees from the United States and Europe. A demilitarized zone is to be created in areas Ukrainian troops will be withdrawn from. The Ukrainian army will be heavily reduced and stripped of long-range weapons. The plan also provides for a ban on the deployment of foreign troops in Ukraine and recognizing the Russian language as a state one. According to Bloomberg, the plan also envisages the lifting of the anti-Russian sanctions.

(Whatever EU and Kiev does to delay the signing, Russia will continue to take territory and fight.)

London avoids addressing painful topic of MiG-31 hijacking operation — Russian envoy

"This is a very serious, and far from the first, case of British intelligence agencies intervening on Ukraine’s side," Andrey Kelin said

LONDON, November 21. /TASS/.London is refraining from commenting on the data provided by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) regarding the thwarted operation by British and Ukrainian intelligence to hijack a Russian MiG-31 fighter jet due to the sensitivity of the topic for them, Russian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Andrey Kelin told TASS in an interview.

"This is avery serious, and far from the first, case of British intelligence agencies intervening on Ukraine’s side. I have not heard any official comments on this matter.London diligently avoids such painful topics," he said.

"The media provided rather limited coverage of the incident, presenting it in the usual manner as a fabrication by the Russian side," the diplomat added.

According to the FSB press office, theUkrainian and UK special services planned to hijack a Russian MiG-31 jet with a Kinzhal hypersonic missile in the fall of 2024.They tried to recruit a pilot, who reported them to his command. Together with Russian counterintelligence, the serviceman played along to find out more about the enemy’s plot.

According to the security services' plan, the Russian pilot was supposed to poison his crew commander by applying toxic substances to his oxygen mask. Then, he was supposed to fly the aircraft toward a NATO base in Romania. He was promised $3 million for the hijacking. However, according to intelligence agencies, the goal of the enemy intelligence services was not to obtain Russian weapons but to stage a provocation by shooting it down in the airspace of a NATO member country.

On November 20, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a briefing that Moscow has not received any reaction from London to FSB reports about a foiled joint operation carried out by the Ukrainian and British intelligence services to hijack a Russian MiG-31 fighter jet.

Collapse of anti-Russian policy in Ukraine to mark inception of multipolar world — senator

Ukrainians are reportedly becoming increasingly demotivated and apathetic amid fatigue from the protracted conflict and ongoing corruption scandals

MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/.

The "anti-Russia project," established in Ukraine by Western countries, will not endure for long, and its collapse will pave the way for a multipolar and just world order, Natalya Nikonorova, deputy chair of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs and former Foreign Minister of the Donetsk People’s Republic, told TASS.

Earlier, the press office of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR)reported that experts from European countries had warned their governments about the imminent failure of the "anti-Russia" project created by the West in Ukraineand the inevitability of the Kiev regime’s military defeat. Ukrainians are reportedly becoming increasingly demotivated and apathetic amid fatigue from the protracted conflict and ongoing corruption scandals.

"The ‘anti-Russia’ project is a resource that will be completely exhausted one day. When that happens, the world will see the collapse of this Russophobic project.Of course, we want to believe that this end will mark the start of a period when a new multipolar world order based on justice and equality will finally be established," Nikonorova said

She added that the developments during the conflict "are entirely expected and logical." "The Kiev regime sold its sovereignty long ago. And I believe that the last thing on the minds of Western handlers is the well-being and prosperity of a subjugated territory," she concluded. (True)

The 2025 MAGA Fracture and the Benefactors Behind It

November 22, 2025 | Sundance |

BUMPED: I see the efforts to divide the MAGA base are in full swing. I remind everyone to be prudent in your discernment of who is antagonizing, what topics and processes they are using, and ultimately who benefits from it. Remember, “there are trillions at stake!”

On March 3rd through March 6th, 2016, the Republican presidential primary was at the precipice of a key inflection point (Super Tuesday) when a large group of political leadership, tech titans, bankers and political influence agents assembled at the AEI summit in Sea Island, Georgia.

Citation Here – Citation Here and Citation HERE (w/itinerary details)

In the decade that passed, you have seen me reference this Sea Island group frequently, because the origin of where we are today can only be understood if you followed the outcome of that 2016 Sea Island meeting and the decade of activity therein.

In 2016 the agenda of the group, though they gently denied it at the time, was to figure out a way to remove the disruption Donald Trump represented from the business model of DC politics. The Sea Island confab discussed how to stop him, or at the very least manage the potential damage he could deliver to the system – specifically, to the Republican wing of the UniParty apparatus.

Here in 2025, we are currently witnessing an outcome of activity from essentially the same group. For this phase, the intention is to fracture the baseline of support that underpins President Trump’s movement; what is reasonably called MAGA and the America-First movement.

What follows below is a review that might help people understand what exactly is behind the various pressure narrativeswe see being introduced into this narrative operation. The attacks against Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, various iterations of Qatar vs Israel as espoused by voices like Mark Levin, the claims of antisemitism shouted against any voicethat doesn’t put the interests of the Israeli government at the forefront, and the various alignments therein. (MTG turning on Trump, probably more to come. AI being pushed by Tech Bro Billionairs. Etc)

In the biggest picture, this is not a battle against individual voices, but rather the positioning of interests to maintain the same objective that was discussed in the aforementioned Sea Island confab.

A few points are needed for context as this discussion enlarges. First, I am only 80% finished with the year-long tracking of the participants; however, due to the severity of the issue and the urgency therein, this is one of the few times I will outline something that is not yet fully developed.

Second, this is not the first rodeo for this activity. After the Tea Party rose in 2010, we saw this same institutional response from almost identical participants to control the threat of a leaderless organic grassroots movement. President Obama, the DNC/RNC and the Republican power apparatus all opposed the Tea Party, as they do MAGA for exactly the same reason.

The need for control is a reaction to fear.

You might remember supporters of the various patriot or Tea Party grassroots organizations being targeted by the Obama DOJ and IRS. Simultaneously John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell labeled Tea Party supporters as political jihadists, extremists and hobbits. The targeting operations to isolate, ridicule and marginalize the movement was both a DNC and an RNC operation….
