Attorney General Pamela Bondi: In 2024, Memphis had the highest violent crime rate, the highest, in the entire country. Memphis's total crime rate was three hundred and forty-four percent higher than the national average. No longer. Thanks to the leadership of President Trump, and our dedicated men and women in law enforcement, this surge in Memphis has dramatically dropped crime…the last fifty six days that we have had this surge, compared to the same fifty-six day time period a years ago, shows murder is down forty-eight percent in just fifty-six days. Sexual assault down forty-nine percent. Robbery down sixty-one percent. Overall serious crime down forty-five percent here in Memphis…since President Trump ordered federal law enforcement officers to surge Memphis, a hundred and twenty-one children have been located and returned to safety.Those are a hundred and twenty-one children who were reported missing and endangered. They have been recovered. More than thirty-one hundred arrests have been made, including three hundred and twenty-seven known gangmembers.
