Nice snipe, bakes.
Hate to break it to you guys, but Buzz and Neil were both silent generation. The oldest boomers were 23 when the moon landings happened.

>To me, heaven is
That's the thing though. Heaven and salvation aren't relative, else we could corrupt its sanctity with our own perverse views of the world. God is constant, unchanging. We don't get to choose the rules and the venue. Our only choice is whether to participate or not.
>But saying that I personally won't achieve these things because I personally decided to see Jesus as a great man and leave it at that seems unreasonable to me.
I'm not condemning you in any way, I'm just informing you what the rule book says the rules are.
God condemns no person to hell. He wants all in heaven. We have the free will to choose whether we go or not.
do you see what's going on here?
I don't see too many of my memes from the early days, but there's a McCarthy one I made that I see every once in a while, kek.

>But you are condemning me. Because obviously my thinking must by logical conclusion lead me to hell, no matter how good person I was!
No, you are condemning yourself. I have no ill will toward you. If you are walking toward a pit, and I say "be careful, there's a pit ahead" and you walk and fall into the pit, would you say that I made you fall into the pit?
>That's the thing though. Heaven and salvation aren't relative
>What do you mean with this?
You said "to me, heaven is." By using the phrase "to me" you are asserting your personal beliefs about what heaven is, but your beliefs have no affect on what heaven is. It is what God made it to be.
For example, if I said "To me, Canada is a tropical island next to Hawaii" I would, of course, be wrong. It doesn't matter what my belief is.
Likewise, a degenerate might say "to me, heaven is a place filled with topless women and endless whiskey." They can believe what they want, but their degeneracy can't make heaven degenerate. They will be wrong. Heaven is what God made it to be, no one's opinions, hopes, or beliefs get to change it.
Hopefully, this helps.

You are welcome!
>Yes but these are all delusions. They are insane. Surely saying that "heaven is symbolic to success" is more reasonable than those examples provided above?
It was only meant as a hyperbolic metaphor to relate an, as of now, intangible concept to an earthly one. Ridiculous yes, but not meant to be taken too literally.
>The degenerate or delusional interpretations cannot possibly lead to an honestly fulfilling life. Don't you agree that there is room for interpretation of what a biblical heaven means?
It wouldn't be fulfilling to you or I, but to a degenerate, I'm sure they'd argue that they'd be fulfilled by that "heaven" even though you and I know they would not be. This is what I mean by heaven cannot be relative. You and I have trouble understanding how degenerates can view the bad as good. If each individual had their own heaven, made as they view goodness, then inevitably, there would be "bad" heavens, and that is not possible because God is only good.
>>you are asserting your personal beliefs about what heaven is
>What could it possibly be other than how I previously defined it? Do you expect people to be fundamentalist and not read between the lines? Don't you think its intended to be primarily poetic in a beautiful way that inspires rather than sets an objective total rule? (Similar to the Edda poetry). I've noticed its much more pleasant to read these kind of books if you flow through the text rather than get hooked up, but maybe I've been reading them wrong all alongโฆ

>I know, for instance, that other muslims sometimes hate when I point out that "the world cannot have been folded out like a flat carpet" (its a literal statement in quran) because some of them lack a flair for poetry.
Each book stands on its own. Some biblical books are literal, other poetic. I don't know where you are in the world, but where I am, I've heard people define "their" heaven as something degenerate. Similarly, I hear people say things like "my truth" which, again, is not possible. Truth is truth. It is not relative. Our world views do not get to affect truth. I must head off for the night, but I hope this has been helpful for you. I know it's all a bit meta, and I hope I've been clear enough to explain such large concepts. Wishing the best for you and your journey.
