My collection is pretty small compared to most anons here I'd wager. Had a hard drive crash in… 2021? 2022? somewhere in there and lost 9 gigs of memes. Managed to get a lot of 'em back from other anons reposting them, but there's some from the start in early 2018 that I haven't seen posted since then that I kinda sorta wish I still had. Currently sitting at exactly 19,051 according to a "Show properties" on the Pictures folder and that number will be increasing before the evening's done.
Yeah, I've had it happen lots over the decades, that's why I don't dwell on it or get attached to files. Some of those memes from 2018 would've been handy to have in a few situations though, just for the info that was in them. Managed to do without them though.
Fuck no. I had a 3 week period between computers here not long ago, had to wait a bit to buy a new one so I used a tablet for three weeks with a bluetooth mouse. I don't find mobile browsers to be a pleasant experience, I suspect it was a RAM limitation on the device I was using, it's pretty old and I normally just use it for an alarm clock and to let me know the temperature outside.
Yep, and the backlight at about 15% to save battery life. Still easily seen during the day.
You know, turn the wifi on to check the temperature though then turn it off again.
