after the Soviet Revolution Russia was only the leading country in name. In fact Russians were only said to run things. It was non Russian marxists Ukrainians, Georgians, etc.
Russia was a captive nation.
When it was all falling apart the Ukraine were the first to bail on the old system.
They fled to the west and got generous welfare as 'Refusenicks' and looted the welfare of the United States, having previously basically been the reason for Marxism and it's progenitors.
Some of them, of course, maybe weren't aware how their elites had made this all happen.

But it's pretty obvious that something Odious came out of the marxist oligharchs of the old Soviet. Collapsing the Soviet was only one of their steps, to make the anti-marxists think that they had succeeded when, in fact, the marxists had already taken over much of the West through corrupt elections and the greed of unionists and Democrats, and through drugs, prostitution, and blackmail.
again: if you think I'm wrong give an alternative narrative. I'm fully aware that what I spout is hubris and can't be backed up with sauce. But the marxists covered their tracks so well that if you look for biographies of Democrat (Marxist) politicians they usually only go back as far as 'what college they went to' and sometimes only to a year or two before they were elected.
