Story in brief:

Recently met with a retired life-long trainer from most Lifespring and some other Human Potential Movement corporate training spinoffs. These are cultish-lite organizations. You can find a lot of background on them. There doesn't seem to be intel connections, but neither does Coca-Cola…

Anyway, this contact I don't know well but have known for 15-20 years. We have let's say close mutual contacts. I've known about a shared intellectual interest in certain philosophical and psychological persons, which are rare and striking, but I didn't know as much about this persons specific work in life or beliefs.

This last discussion was somewhat enlightening. Due to a generational difference, he took our shared interest into what he did with his life. On the other hand, my path as been somewhat reactionary, in retrospect, to what he did. When the conversation extrapolated into political discussions, I got some masterful but clear passive aggressive pushback, after which the conversation was quickly cut off once he found an escape with other people. There were 2-3 more instances of this during this multi-hour small group gathering.

My Trump 2028 hat probably didn't help, but I didn't realize the context. Basically, this guy was old school in with the Donella Meadows/Club of Rome/ecological limits to growth crowd and had some other leftist/globalist leanings which didn't expose themselves too much except through some of the rebuttals. I suppose he was trying to avoid certain topics considering the group, but I didn't know about his history. The rest of the group is pretty ignorant around all of this stuff, so probably better to avoid politics, to cede that to him. I just wish I was more informed beforehand.

In any case, it was bothering me, so I looked even more deeply into it after the fact. In short, what I think was going on was this. As a result of the HPM, all these corporate types (this guy is a lawyer) were going over to Asia and giving these expensive consciousness growth trainings. What was actually happening though was using psychological tactics in a questionable way to put people into a vunerable position, after which they would be presented with various solutions to the issues exposed. In this case, estate planning.

Here's the connection: while not responsible for the off-shoring that was eviscerating the US middle class, this estate planning for Asia's rich was solidifying the money, wealth, and industry into offshore family trusts because of the one-child policy, essentially creating a legal and tax barrier to those assets.

Was this a globalist or leftist strategy? I don't know, but it certainly benefited them. And now, Trump, can't go after them easily. The reonshoring of industry here is just devaluating the assets in those trusts. Brilliant.

It's still to recent and I'm a bit emotional about that interaction, but I understand it better, trying not to assume too much about motivations, but damn if it didn't lead to a rabbit hole. This is just the summary of it.

The broader question I have is what did our intel agencies know or do about these large corporate intermediaries actions who were all over the globe. The one relevant comment was that Covid, through the use of video conferencing, ended all of it.
