I just walked out of a briefing on this issue this morning CONFIRMING everything I posted yesterday.
That yes, in fact, the Speaker is blocking my provision to root out the illegal weaponization that led to Crossfire Hurricane, Arctic Frost, and more. He is siding with Jamie Raskin against Trump Republicans to block this provision to protect the deep state.
This is an easy one. This bill is DOA unless this provision gets added in as it was passed out of committee.

The price at the pump for a gallon of Regular is highest in states with Democrat governors and lowest in those led by Republicans, analysis of AAA statistics by CNSNews reveals.
According to AAA's daily report published Tuesday, the national average cost of a gallon of gas on Monday was $2.998. Statewide averages varied greatly, ranging from $4.54 a gallon in California to a low of $2.40 in Oklahoma.
Four of the five states with the highest gas costs are run by Democrat governors. The lone exception, Nevada (#5), has a Republican governor, but Democrats control the legislature.
What's more, seven of the ten states where pump prices are the highest are led by Democrats. When the District of Columbia, run by Democrat Mayor Muriel Bowser, is added to the mix, eight of 11 have Democrat leaders.
Highest Average Gas Prices:
California $4.54 β Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom
Hawaii $4.45 β Democrat Gov. Joshua Green
Washington $4.16 β Democrat Gov. Bob Ferguson
Oregon $3.79 β Democrat Gov. Tina Kotek
Nevada $3.71 β Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo β D House, D Senate
Alaska $3.69 β Republican Gov. Mike Dunleavy
Arizona $3.30 β Democrat Gov. Katie Hobbs
Idaho $3.23 β Republican Gov. Brad Little
Pennsylvania $3.22 β Democrat Gov. Josh Shapiro
District of Columbia $3.20 β Democrat Mayor Muriel Bowser
Illinois $3.15 β Democrat Gov. J.B. Pritzger
Of the seven remaining states where the average cost is above $3.00 a gallon, five have Democrat governors. Vermont, one of the two states on the list with a Republican governor, has a legislature dominated by Democrats.
New York $3.13 β Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul
Vermont $3.12 β Republican Gov. Phil Scott (D Legislature, D Senate)
Connecticut $3.08 β Democrat Gov. Ned Lamont
Utah $3.06 β Republican Gov. Spencer Cox
Massachusetts $3.03 β Democrat Gov. Maura Healey
Maine $3.02 β Democrat Gov. Janet T. Mills
New Jersey $3.01 β Democrat Gov. Phil Murphy
Conversely, seven of the ten states where gas prices are lowest have Republican governors. And in two of the three states with Democrat governors (#8 Kentucky and #10 Wisconsin), Republicans control both the House and Senate.
Lowest Average Gas Prices:
Oklahoma $2.40 β Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt
Texas $2.55 β Republican Gov. Greg Abbott
Arkansas $2.57 β Republican Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders
Mississippi $2.58 β Republican Gov. Tate Reeves

A man has been arrested for allegedly firebombing a federal building in downtown Los Angeles and is suspected in another blaze in a nearly century-old apartment building in Koreatown on Monday.
The Los Angeles Times identified the targeted federal building as the one at 300 N. Los Angeles St., while the Los Angeles Fire Department said the pre-1933 three-story apartment building is in the 100 block of Westmoreland Avenue.
The FBI told KTLA that they arrested Jose Francisco Jovel, 54, of Los Angeles, in connection with the federal building attack, and the Times reports that Jovel is also suspected in the Koreatown fire, which occurred at his residence. No injuries were reported in either instance.
A statement from the Department of Homeland Security explained that Jovel was heard by security guards βyelling derogatory comments about U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement outside the downtown building on Mondayβ before launching two Molotov cocktails.
βThe suspect was taken into custody and stated that he wanted to blow up the building and βspray downβ all the officers while making more derogatory comments about ICE officers. Fortunately, the bottles were not lit and did not catch fire and there were no injuries or damage to federal property,β the DHS statement said. βHe also had four knives and a Leatherman tool on him at the time of his arrest.β
In a news release Tuesday afternoon, the U.S. Department of Justice said Jovel faces a charge of attempted malicious damage of federal property.
If convicted, he faces between five and 20 years in federal prison.
