Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Saturday that Iran is engaged in what he described as a “full-fledged war” with the America and its allies.

Speaking in an interview published on a website affiliated with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Pezeshkian said Western powers are attempting to prevent Iran from becoming economically and politically self-sufficient.

“In my opinion, we are in a full-fledged war with America, Israel, and Europe,” Pezeshkian said. “They do not want our country to stand on its feet.”

“This war is worse than Iraq’s war against us,” he said, referring to the conflict between the two nations that ended in 1988.

”If one understands it well, this war is far more complex and difficult than that war,” he added.

The remarks come as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prepares to travel to Washington for meetings with Trump focused on Iran.

A federal judge and Obama appointee has blocked the Trump administration from deporting censorship campaigner Imran Ahmed after the State Department sanctioned him for pressuring American companies to suppress U.S. speech.

Judge Vernon S. Broderick of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York issued a temporary restraining order preventing federal officials from detaining or removing Centre for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) CEO Imran Ahmed.

The order bars action by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Attorney General Pam Bondi, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and other senior administration officials.

“The Supreme Court and Congress have repeatedly made clear: The United States is under no obligation to allow foreign aliens to come to our country or reside here,” the State Department said in a decision following the ruling.

Ahmed, a British citizen of Afghan heritage, holds permanent U.S. residency through a green card.

He was among five European nationals sanctioned this week with visa bans and deportation orders for what the State Department described as “organized efforts to coerce American platforms to censor, demonetize, and suppress American viewpoints they oppose.”

The donations, first reported by The New York Post, include $18,000 Soros gave James in July 2024 and $13,000 contributed by his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Soros, in May.

Records show the Soros family provided an additional $40,000 to James across earlier campaign cycles.

Roughly $31,000 of the total was directed toward her current re-election effort.

Those figures do not include political support James receives through organizations heavily financed by Soros, most notably the Working Families Party (WFP).

Since 2016, Soros’ Open Society network has transferred $23.7 million to the Working Families Party via its fundraising arm, Working Families Organization Inc.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) late last week announced that a distributor is recalling its FDA-regulated products because of the presence of bird and rodent feces at a Minneapolis facility.

Minneapolis-based Gold Star Distribution Inc. said on Dec. 26 that it’s recalling all of its FDA-regulated products including over-the-counter cold and flu medications, dietary supplements, pet foods, cosmetics, medical devices, and foods that were distributed in locations primarily in Minnesota.

The reason for the action is “potential Salmonella contamination, presence of rodent and avian contamination, and insanitary conditions during the storage process,” the FDA said in a description of the recall.

According to a statement from Gold Star, people who consume or handle the products may become ill because of “adulteration from pests, including rodents, birds and insects.” The FDA found that the company facilities harbored “rodent excreta, rodent urine, and bird droppings in areas where medical devices, drugs, human food, pet food, and cosmetic products were held.”

“These conditions create a significant risk that products held at the facility may have been contaminated with filth and harmful microorganisms,” it said.

No illnesses have been reported so far, according to the FDA notice. Continue…

Under the new rules, employers will be required to include information about expected compensation for the position. If a salary range is used, the difference between the minimum and maximum must not be so broad that it exceeds $50,000 per year.

Employers will not need to follow this requirement if the expected compensation is more than $200,000 per year or if the top end of the range is more than $200,000 per year.

The changes will also prohibit employers from requiring in job postings or applications that applicants must have Canadian work experience.

Additionally, employers will be required to disclose in job postings whether artificial intelligence will be used during the hiring process and whether the posting is for an existing job vacancy. Continue…

Durham police have arrested 64 people and laid 155 charges following a weeks-long investigation into retail theft.

The “safe shop” initiative ran for five weeks—between Nov. 10 and Dec. 16—and involved members of Durham Regional Police’s East Division Community Response Unit (CRU) focusing on retail theft enforcement.

“Members of the CRU Unit, with the assistance of front-line officers, worked in partnership with the LCBO Resource Protection Unit to identify high theft locations across Durham Region,” Durham Regional Police said in a Dec. 26 media release.

Officers maintained a “highly visible presence” in the identified locations in Ontario’s Durham Region throughout the initiative in an effort to deter criminal activity, Durham police said.

The initiative led to the arrest of 64 individuals and 155 charges, the police unit said. Of the 64 arrests, 17 arrests resulted in 32 charges that were related to thefts at LCBO locations. Additionally, 38 of the 155 total charges included breach-related offences, police say.

Toronto’s new $60 MILLION hockey arena is INSANE!

Toronto is known to many as the hockey capital of the world. While they haven’t won anything in recent years (and, well, even in not so recent years), there’s no denying that Toronto LOVES their hockey.

As the saying goes, actions speak louder than words. So a new $60M arena build just outside Toronto in Richmond Hill is a deafeningly loud action.

Heavily involved in the whole process is former Leafs star Gary Roberts, who has subsequently worked his way into becoming a world class hockey trainer. The rink has become a stomping grounds for players like Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Zach Hyman, and many more.

To really put the new facility to the test, we have Hyman and Roberts give Jesse the gears in a full tour and training day at the Honey and Barry Memorial Arena!

Jesse even got on the ice with some hockey players that, well… may be a little out of his league (literally).
