At least use the name that 5 Roman emperors, 1 senate scribe and 1 Roman Historian called him in their writings, ‘Christus’. Though one of the emperors spelled it ‘Chrestus’ because he wasn’t all that bright.
Or go with what the Hebrew historian and the Hebrew general both called him their writings, going with the Hebrew form of the Greek ,Christi’s’.
Btw, all of these wrote about the man within 70 years of his execution. Even the 5 Roman emperors.. they had a few of them in rapid succession, but all 5 bitched about the problems Pilates execution of ‘Christus’ were causing for Rome.
