If you use biometrics (thumb print / face scan) to unlock your phone, the police can now force you to unlock your phone for them to look through WITHOUT a warrant.
Judge ruled that biometric data isn't covered since it is more like a key, rather than a combination which you memorize. Only passwords / pins are protected to the level where a warrant would be required according to the judge's ruling.
