Gaza, in particular on Oct 7th itself was defensive. Again, I have no problem with Israel actions or presence.
Now, if you want to bring up the false flag factoid or more realistically the, "they just let it play out to justify the Gaza War" - I could argue it both ways.
Governments have a responsibility first and foremost protect it's citizens. There was catastrophic failure to do so on Oct 7.
That said, Hamas CHOSE their course of action first. So, if not but for their actions….

But, that doesn't change the reality on the ground, nor the defacto reality that Israel cannot permit a State capable of this one its border. Israel's only reasonable option(at least as I see for now) is a completely defanged "territory"…..kinda like Puerto Rico.
