Trump Honored With FIFA's First Peace Prize

President Donald Trump on Friday accepted the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize during the 2026 World Cup draw at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino presented Trump with the prize.

The award — formally titled “FIFA Peace Prize: Football Unites the World” — was announced Nov. 5 as FIFA’s new annual honor recognizing individuals whose actions advance peace and unity, the organization said.

"Well, thank you very much. This is truly one of the great honors of my life. And beyond awards, John and I were discussing this, we saved millions and millions of lives," Trump said in accepting the award.

Trump later added, "The world is a safer place now."

Trump accepted the award at the outset of the draw carried live by Newsmax. The draw is held for FIFA to group qualified national teams, setting the matchups and overall structure for the World Cup, which begins in June 2026 across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

The draw began with Trump, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney picking their teams for Groups A, B and D. This was ceremonial — the host teams’ placement in those groups was determined in advance.

Trump drew last, saying, “I think I know what this is going to be now” after Carney pulled Canada and Sheinbaum unveiled Mexico.

“Does he know something that I don't know?” Trump said of Infantino. “Let's give it a shot. Let's give it a shot."

“This is shocking,” Trump said, displaying “USA” from the draw.

Infantino then proceeded to take a selfie with the world leaders.

Infantino has repeatedly praised Trump’s diplomatic efforts, saying the former president “deserves” a peace prize.

“Football stands for peace,” Infantino said in unveiling the award, adding that it will honor those “who unite people, bringing hope for future generations.”

After Trump publicly voiced interest in winning the Nobel Peace Prize — which ultimately went to Venezuelan democracy advocate María Corina Machado — FIFA later announced it would present its own Peace Prize at Friday’s World Cup draw.

White House spokesperson Davis Ingle applauded Trump’s selection, saying, “The United States of America has never been more respected or successful than it is now under President Trump’s historic leadership. America is the hottest country in the world right now, which makes us the perfect country to host one of the greatest sporting events in history — the FIFA World Cup 2026.”

Trump and Infantino, who has been FIFA's president since 2016, reportedly have had a close relationship since Trump's first term, when the U.S. won the right along with Mexico and Canada to host the 2026 World Cup.

During a visit to the Oval Office in 2018, Infantino gave Trump souvenir red and yellow cards, joking they could be used on the media.

Last December, during the draw for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, Trump sent a prerecorded message while his grandson Theodore Kushner and daughter Ivanka Trump made the ceremonial first pick.

Trump later joined Infantino on the field to present the Club World Cup trophy after Chelsea won the tournament in July.

Angel Families thank Trump in new Thanksgiving video for his border security efforts: 'We appreciate you'

Families affected by illegal immigrant crimes and fentanyl deaths record messages thanking administration

The American Border Story (TABS) has released a powerful new video featuring Angel Families — those who have lost loved ones to crimes tied to the border crisis — expressing gratitude to President Trump for his tough stance on immigration enforcement.

The 11-minute video, released on Nov. 22 in honor of Thanksgiving and featuring country music artist Alexis Wilkins, includes more than a dozen messages from Angel Families thanking Trump and his administration.

Joe Abraham, whose daughter Katie was killed in a drunken-driving accident caused by an illegal immigrant, thanked the president for prioritizing border security and "keeping our community safe."

"We hope you continue the dedication towards that," Joe Abraham said. "… We really don't want any other families to have to suffer the pain and despair that we're going through right now. So keep it up, and we appreciate you. Happy Thanksgiving."

Anne Fundner, who lost her 15-year-old son Weston to fentanyl poisoning, thanked President Trump and called him "the greatest president America has ever had."

"You spoke his name with honor and reminded me that Weston is looking down so proud," Fundner said. "President Trump, you work tirelessly, nonstop to protect Americans and keep our country safe. I am so honored and grateful to call you my president. I thank God for you every single day."

Agnes Gibboney, whose son Ronald Da Silva was murdered by an illegal immigrant in California in 2002, thanked Trump for his "courage, strength, determination, and love for our country."

"Thank you and your administration for securing our borders and deporting criminal illegal aliens and for keeping Americans safe," Gibboney said. "Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family."

Debbie Santini, who lost her son Jesse Byrd to fentanyl poisoning in 2022, thanked the president for "everything you've done and continue to do for families like mine."

Other messages of gratitude came from Kim Novak, Jacqueline Long, Greg Crews, Lupe Morfin, Angie Morfin, Jane Gray, Laura Wilkerson, Chris Odette, April Babcock, Kathy Hall, Jody Jones, Donald DeQuardo, Wanda DeQuardo, Marie Vega, Javier Vega, Rebecca Elmaksoud, Anatoly Varfolomeev, Uloma Anyanwu, Mary Ann Mendoza and Tena Pruitt.

In closing the video, Wilkins thanked the Trump administration for "the leaps and bounds made in infrastructure, in legislation, and in justice for these families and everything that they have been through."

"On behalf of everyone at The American Border Story, thank you, Mr. President. Happy Thanksgiving," Wilkins said.

DAVID MARCUS: Trump's aggression toward Venezuela a warning to Putin

Russia's client states falling one by one as Trump tightens pressure on Moscow over Ukraine war

President Donald Trump has seen recent setbacks in his polling numbers on many issues, but one bright spot in surveys has been his aggressive approach to Venezuela, including taking out drug cartel boats. But there is another purpose at work here, one that may help to end the war in Ukraine.

What is important to understand is that Venezuela is a client state of Russia, as is Iran, and as was Syria until the recent overthrow of Bashar al-Assad. One by one, Trump has been proving that against American might, Putin cannot keep his sketchy global friends safe.

"Russia’s track record with allies like Iran, Syria, and now Venezuela reveals a familiar pattern," Peter Duran, adjunct senior fellow for the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told me. "The Kremlin will make lavish statements of support, but provide minimal backing when real threats emerge to its clients."

Noting how thin PUtin is stretched by the war in Ukraine and U.S. sanctions, Duran said "keeping Maduro in power is a bridge too far for Moscow if President Trump presses the issue."

One can almost see Trump’s main Ukraine negotiator, Steve Witkoff, saying to a Russian counterpart, "How’s your boy Maduro, doing? Seems to be having a tough time. I wish we could help …"

While Putin has been murdering Ukrainians and maintaining the largest European land war in generations, Trump has been weakening Russian global power. Syria is making nice with America, Iran has been de-nuclearized and now that leaves Venezuela.

In recent weeks, Russian cargo planes have been seen flying into Venezuela. Nobody is ever quite sure if they are there to bring supplies, or perhaps at some point, to airlift Maduro to an early retirement in Moscow, where al-Assad now resides.

It is a very telling situation, because the entire reason that Putin invaded Ukraine was that he believes it falls under Russia’s sphere of influence. Yet, without putting a single soldier in combat, the United States has marshalled support for Ukraine that has stymied the Russian dictator.

For almost four years now, Putin has sent his own armies into a meat grinder, employed North Korean mercenaries and expended more treasure than seen in all the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies combined. It's been little avail in terms of breaking the stalemate.

Compare that with America’s situation regarding Venezuela. We could take out Maduro tomorrow and there’s not a damn thing Putin could do about it.

In fact, this week’s new National Security Strategy statement from the Trump administration doubles down on a Monroe Doctrine-like policy of putting the Western Hemisphere first and foremost in our security goals.

But rightfully putting our own backyard first does not mean that Trump or America are exiting from the global stage. In fact, much the opposite is true.

Trump understands the global chess board. He knows that, while direct conflict with Russia could lead to global war, picking off the Kremlin’s rogue client states around the edges is fair game, and puts pressure on the center of that board.

"President Trump’s big stick approach to Venezuela recalls Theodore Roosevelt’s approach to the region. Instead of gunboat diplomacy, Trump is deploying supercarrier diplomacy," Duran told me. "A quiet retirement abroad is the best option for Maduro before options narrow further. Putin won't be able to save him."

Trump has put Putin in an incredibly tough position here. If the dictator remains dedicated to his fantasy of reclaiming all of Ukraine to restore the USSR, he risks the United States undermining his allies and clients across the globe.

Russia may be faced with the choice of regaining what it believes is its territorial integrity at the price of no longer being a global superpower.

Trump is proving again, as he once told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, that he holds all the cards. At the moment, he is playing them masterfully, tightening the noose around Russia as its geopolitical allies are knocked off one by one.

At last week’s cabinet meeting, Secretary of State Marco Rubio described Trump’s foreign policy as transformational, "because for the first time in a long time we have a president who basically puts America at the forefront of every decision we make in our in relations with the world."

In Venezuela, the Department of War is indeed playing offense, as Trump promised, but the opponent isn’t really Maduro, it's Putin, who may soon find out that another of his pariah allies is off the board forever.

The Baseball Hall of Fame Committee is voting on admitting new Members TOMORROW, and these highly respected owners, executives, writers, and, most importantly, Hall of Famers, should do the right thing by finally putting Roger Clemens, known as “The Rocket,” in the Hall! Roger is clearly one of the Greatest Pitchers of All Time, with amazing achievements that include winning 354 Games, seven Cy Young Awards (A Record, by a lot!), and playing in six World Series, winning two. “The Rocket” is second only to another All Time GREAT, Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan, in most strike-outs. Roger Clemens is the only pitcher who has won 300 games to not have the honor of being enshrined in the Hall of Fame, which is a total travesty! The only reason he is not is because of rumors and innuendo, which were not proven. He never tested positive and, when the Obama DOJ went after him in a criminal case claiming that he did take steroids, Roger, who has always denied taking any drugs, was FULLY ACQUITTED OF ALL CHARGES. “The Rocket,” a nickname he earned very early in his career because of his blazing fastball, was just as dominant before those erroneous allegations were leveled against him. I sincerely hope that the Committee uses its great judgment (Roger’s opponents never proved a thing against him, and he may have the best pitching record, all told, in the History of Baseball!), and the Baseball Commissioner has the Strength, Wisdom, and Power to do the right thing, and put Roger Clemens in The Baseball Hall of Fame, IMMEDIATELY! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DJT

Trump blasts Indiana Republicans who defied redistricting pressure

President Trump lambasted Indiana Republicans who resisted his pressure to enter the mid-decade redistricting war, saying any party member who votes against redistricting "should be PRIMARIED."

The big picture: Indiana marks the latest setback in Trump's drive to lock in a GOP House majority through mid-decade gerrymandering — part of his broader push to expand Republican power state by state.

Republicans have pushed through aggressive maps in Texas, Missouri, North Carolina and Ohio.

Democrats benefited from a court-approved map in Utah and their own partisan redraw in California.

Indiana joins Kansas, Nebraska and New Hampshire, other Republican-led states that have resisted reopening their maps so far.

Driving the news: Trump called out two Indiana lawmakers — Senate President Pro Tempore Rodric Bray and Sen. Greg Goode — as "RINO Senators," a favorite dig of his that means "Republican in name only."

"Because of these two politically correct type 'gentlemen,' and a few others, they could be depriving Republicans of a Majority in the House, A VERY BIG DEAL!" the president wrote.

He also took aim at Indiana Gov. Mike Braun for "perhaps … not working the way he should to get the necessary Votes." Trump claimed Braun "wouldn't be Governor without me (Not even close!)."

Braun had called for a special session to pass a new map. But Bray said Friday that after "very serious and thoughtful consideration," the redistricting idea did not have enough support to move forward.

Threat level: Trump said Indiana lawmakers should "DO THEIR JOB, AND DO IT NOW" — and if they don't, he wrote, they should be booted out of office.

Seven of Indiana's nine U.S. House seats are held by Republicans. Trump wanted more.

A spokesperson for Goode said the senator "previously stated at a local listening session he hosted on Nov. 1 that he would not take a public stance unless and until he saw an officially introduced map and legislation on the floor of the State Senate."

Zoom out: Trump claimed that "no one is complaining" about California's redistricting push to net up to five seats, which was launched in response to the president's campaign to redraw Texas' map in Republicans' favor.

But his argument that "no one is complaining" seems at odds with the fact that his Justice Department is suing the Golden State over its Proposition 50 measure, which voters overwhelmingly approved earlier this month.

Catch up quick: Braun warned earlier this year that Indiana could face "consequences of not working with the Trump administration as tightly as we should" if the state dragged its feet on redistricting.

But ultimately, the Republican supermajority couldn't find the votes, Axios Indianapolis' Arika Herron reported.

While the House said they had the support, several Indiana Senate Republicans publicly opposed the move.

Will John Brennan Finally Get His Just Deserts?

Or will it be "six ways to Sunday"?

My first reaction was, “What took them so long”? My second: “finally.” My third (already worried): “Will it hold”?

All this was within seconds, but I have been wishing Brennan would “get his” for some time. For me, he is the epitome of political evil in this country.

From Fox’s reporting: “In a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi Tuesday, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, referred former CIA Director John Brennan to the Justice Department for allegedly making false statements to Congress.

“Jordan accused Brennan of lying in his 2023 Judiciary Committee testimony by denying that the CIA used the Steele dossier in prepping the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) on Russian election interference, and falsely claiming the CIA opposed including the dossier.”

From the foregoing, it should be obvious I am no fan of Brennan. It was always a mystery to me how such a person became director of the CIA, indeed, how, with his background, he could even be a member of our intelligence community.

My concern—call it that— goes back a long time. In some small way, Brennan and I are brothers. We were both schoolboy leftists. But we were brothers from another mother. I was a pretend semi-leftist of the typical Hollywood ilk. He was a serious leftist for real, as real as you can get, Stalin real.

How do I know? I had lots of friends on the so-called left in the late sixties and seventies. We were mainly devotees of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and its leader, Tom Hayden, author of the Port Huron Statement, which abjured Stalinism and advocated “democratic socialism” (sound familiar?).

Thinking back on those days, it was pretty embarrassing. We would hang out at Hayden/Fonda’s small cottage in Santa Monica, listening to Tom pontificate. At the same time, Jane walked about with a laundry basket ostentatiously showing off her working-class bona fides. Just a few years later, she was living with Ted Turner in one of the country's largest mansions, with a staff the size of a small army. Hypocrisy was always a large part of being a Hollywood leftist.

cont…

cont…

Brennan was different. He was the only person I ever heard of who actually voted for the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) candidate for president at the time, Gus Hall. Hall was an ultra neo-Stalinist hardliner who despised the Hayden/Fonda SDS types as softies. He frequently traveled to Moscow to receive the likes of the Brezhnev Prize from the Soviet dictator himself and went so far as to support the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia. No action was too totalitarian, too fascist, for Hall, as long as it adhered to what he regarded as strict communist principles.

Not too many people knew about him even then, but Brennan clearly did. He says he backed Hall through youthful ignorance —an excuse hard to accept unless, of course, you are Barack Obama, who later made Brennan the CIA chief and had his own version of Hall in Frank Marshall Davis.

Years later, it was said that Brennan, who spent a good deal of time in the Middle East, had converted to Islam, but it was never proven.

What we do know is that Brennan was one of the 51 current and past intelligence agents who signed the infamous letter claiming that the Hunter Biden laptop was likely Russian disinformation. Nearly a hundred percent of the signatories of that letter must have known they were lying at the time, unless they were blithering idiots.

The House Judiciary Committee and Jim Jordan may have the goods on Brennan, lying—making “false statements,” in the parlance— to the committee regarding the even more infamous Steele dossier. Brennan asserted he never supported the dossier as evidence.

Documents apparently declassified in July 2025 assert just the opposite and show the former CIA director insisting the agency use the blatant fabrication as evidence—anything to get Trump and his allies.

The question remains, however, whether the Department of Justice will be able to secure a conviction against this highly slippery character, who has been lawyered up on this and other matters for some time. It’s easy to be skeptical, but in this case, especially, it would be delightful to be proven wrong.

Lastly, why do I see Brennan as the “epitome of evil”? It’s something in my gut. But it also makes me reflect on that famous warning by Chuck Schumer just as Trump was entering the presidency for the first time: “Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.”

That warning curdled my blood then, and it does now. When I first visited CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, the very size of the institution made me suspicious. Was this an intelligence agency or something different, an alternative nation of some sort? Whatever it was, it was a truly immense bureaucracy of the kind for which self-preservation is often the greatest motivation. Will they find “six ways to Sunday” to save Brennan, or will justice prevail?

No case before the DOJ will be more important.

Congratulations to Indiana's tremendous Republican State Representatives, led by GREAT Speaker Todd Huston, Bill Sponsor Ben Smaltz, and Elections Committee Chairman Tim Wesco, who just overwhelmingly voted to pass their new, much fairer, and improved, Congressional Map. It was my Honor to win Indiana six times, including Primaries, in 2016, 2020, and 2024, and this new Map would give the incredible people of Indiana the opportunity to elect TWO additional Republicans in the 2026 Midterm Elections.

The Indiana Senate must now pass this Map, AS IS, and get it to Governor Mike Braun's desk, ASAP, to deliver a gigantic Victory for Republicans in the “Hoosier State,” and across the Country. I am hearing that these nine Senators, some of whom are up for Re-Election in 2026, and some in 2028, need encouragement to make the right decision: Blake Doriot, Brett Clark, Brian Buchanan, Dan Dernulc, Ed Charbonneau, Greg Goode, Jim Buck, Rick Niemeyer, and Ryan Mishler. Let your voice be heard loud and clear in support of these Senators doing the right thing. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
