Providence Police Narcotics and Organized Crime Detectives began a follow-up investigation following the incident and were able to identify a suspect believed to have supplied the drugs to one of the people who allegedly overdosed.

"On Saturday, a spokesperson with the Providence Police Department said that seven people were treated for drug overdoses at a home on Liege Street overnight.
Steve Maurano, associate vice president of Public Affairs, Community and Government Relations at Providence College, said in a statement that the victims treated were all students at the school.
When first responders first arrived at the scene, officers and fire crews found four people on the front lawn, and three others inside of the home at the time."
