President Joe Biden appointed four members to the Federal Reserve Board of Governors: Jerome Powell, Philip Jefferson, Lisa Cook, and Michael Barr.

Powell was initially appointed by President Donald Trump and later reappointed by Biden; his current term as chair is set to expire in May 2026.

Philip Jefferson, Lisa Cook, and Michael Barr were nominated by Biden and confirmed by the Senate, with Cook becoming the first Black woman confirmed for a full 14-year term on the board.

Adriana Kugler, another Biden nominee, stepped down unexpectedly on August 1, 2025, before the end of her term.
