On July 20, Dr. Hausknecht was gunned down on his bicycle in Texas
Police say Pappas has been plotting the attack for the death of his mother 21 years ago
Julia Pappas was one of Hausknecht's patients and died on his operating table in 1997
Police think her son, a licensed real estate broker, had been planning to kill the doctor for some time
Anyone who sees Pappas is urged not to approach him and to call 911
Dr. Mark Hausknecht treated President HW Bush for an irregular heartbeat in 2000
Police believe Pappas was acting in revenge for the death of his mother Julia who died on Hausknecht's operating in April 1997 at the age of 90.
He had been plotting the attack for a 'long time', according to authorities whose attention was directed to him by an anonymous tip earlier this week.
