William Farley worked at the Lehman brothers in the 70s before leveraging his first huge deal. He would be deemed a "corporate raider". The sale of the house may be connected somehow to his ouster from the company/Fruit of the Loom's bankruptcy in 1999.

The $7.8m pension fund figure isn't that far off from the last sale price of the property (just over $8m according to that link. It's now worth closer to $16m doubled investment).
The Goldman Sachs partner caught my eye. I've been watching what goes on there since the two "Q" chapters. "At HQme" and "GQldman". (Bannon also used to work for G-S.)
