Q has warned us that they will want to suspend the Internet at some point. Now that we've gone mainstream, this is more of a threat than ever.

 

It will be terribly inconvenient. One source of backup communications is old-fashioned Ham Radio. World-wide comms on Shortwave.

LSB = single-sideband, lower sideband

USB = single-sideband, upper sideband

 

You may also want to find and print a copy of the 2-meter band ham repeaters in your area. Most scanners will pick them up. The transmissions are in FM. Also, owning ham gear is not restricted to licensees. Anyone can buy to LISTEN.
