"person of interest" is not a legal term. Police can only briefly detain someone for questioning. it is no longer "briefly" if they don't charge this guy they have to let him go. the prosecution of any case later is at risk if they continue to detain him without cause. no doubt the leftists in RI are intentionally sabotaging any prosecution
