This weekend has been tough. We lost 2 soldiers in Syria, 2 young college students at Brown University in Rhode Island, and in Australia, 12 people were murdered while celebrating the first night of Hanukkah on Bondi Beach.

I hope you will join my family in praying for all these grieving families and everyone who has been traumatized by this senseless violence.

In all this darkness, God has mercifully given us a ray of hope. USAF Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, who was shot in the head in Washington DC on November 26, has had a miraculous recovery. He’s not yet out of the woods, but his family remains hopeful he will have a full recovery.

In this beautiful and holy season let us pray for peace. And to all our Jewish friends, Happy Hanukkah.
